Totally enjoyed the trip. They took us half a km or so from the beach in a banana boat and let us jump to the sea with life jackets on. The place also has gorgeous rock formations. Nearby activities include parasailing, water scooter, etc Great sea food as well

half an hour boat journey from Malpe beach, a good, attractive attraction. Bit crowded all time, but being a tourist place, can not avoid crowd. The boats run by private contractors are not at all good and no safety precautions are taken by the contractor. Near the iceland, About 30/40 feet away they transfer you to another very small boat... One needs to get into a crowded boat to get here. You literally get treated like cattle. And the boat transfers you to another boat near the island. The island is beautiful but the experience is not.

Didn't know earlier that this the place where Vasco da gama first arrived & then proceeded to kerela until I read the details on the Island tourist board. N fancy/Jazzy stuff. Simple Island, spend some time & come back. The island have unique kind of rock formation which is one of kind and not be found anywhere else in India.

The island is visible from Malpe beach. You need to take a boat ride from the beach that costs 300 per head. You may need to wait for some time on open beach, so better to go in morning. Boat ride is around 20 mins and is an enjoyable experience. The island itself is not too big and can be... More

Boats are available from Malpe beach (INR 200/adult and INR 100/kid). Lot of jelly fishes can be seen on the way and if you are lucky then a dolphin too (i saw 2 while coming back from... More
