Tranquil Beach, hidden gem
Sep 2021 • Family
Just drove to the beach on a cousin’s recommendation….the approach is very narrow especially if u are join from Highway…hardly any traffic was there, so managed through the serpentine lanes…..beach was clean… however it doesn’t have lifeguard etc….dint venture into water as was accompanied with kids and senior citizens…..but the drive along the coast from Mattu beach to Malpe was good…the road is narrow but can take a SUV…

Beautiful beach
Nov 2020 • Family
1. This beach is neat and clean
2. It's less crowded.
3. The approach road is narrow and one 4 wheeler can pass at a time especially on the bridge.
4. Long sea shore with good road stretching throughout the shore.
5. Pleasant for a long walk or a jog.
6. There are photography opportunities too when ships cross in front of the sun during sunset.

Offbeat Beach
Jun 2019 • Friends
Yet another one of those offbeat beauties, this beach is relatively virgin and untouched by commercial tourism. It is still not very well known and hence is clean and naturally maintained. It is still mostly habitated with the locals and less tourists. As it is with all beaches it is beautiful to watch the sun rise and sun set. The landscape around the area is beautiful, so rest assured the camera will be happy and so will you.

Virgin beaches, Clear water, Cool breeze, Silence

A definite visit enroute Murdeshwar from Mangalore. This is just an hour drive from Mangalore airport and off the NH66. If possible stay somewhere near this beach as it is clean, untouched and unexplored with clean blue water and sand. The approach road was under redevelopment and hence a little bumpy but worth travelling on. There are no water or Juice stalls around so carry your own water.

Secluded beach
Oct 2018 • Family
Mattu is a secluded beach, away from the hustle bustle of Malpe.
A scenic drive with the backwaters on one side and the sea on the other side.

Mattu Beach a very secluded beach right by the scenic route from Kaup to Malpe.

It's a small diversion from NH66.
The landscape is stunning with backwater on one side and sea on the other.

We will highly recommend a visit to this place if you re near Udupi

Pristine Beach
Nov 2018 • Family
A nice beach not visited by too many people. Clean with very limited parking. The road beside the beach goes all the way to Malpe beach passing through Kodi beach. The road is quite narrow but it is a nice drive.

Beautiful beach on a very scenic route

We visited mattu beach while driving from malpe to kapu beach.. the coastal route leading to mattu from malpe - padukere is breathtaking.. there is a small stretch where you can see beach on one side and back water on the other..

Mattu beach is very less crowded unlike malpe and kapu.. It was just us and another group shooting some serial /ad on a sunday evening .. Beautiful and calm beach.. non commercialized, no stalls or shops..

Beach by the road.
Sep 2018 • Friends
This beach is so underrated. This beach is right by a long stretch of the road between Malpe and Kaup. Not a touristy place which is another reason the beach is beautiful. Less people around helps click amazing pictures for your profile pictures. Also, this place is clean as it isn't crowded. Wouldn't recommend going into the water as it is deep at the start. The sunset's are breathtaking. No stores around. So get water and food if you're looking to spend time there. Don't litter!
