This place is wonderful! It was amazing to hold and see baby sea turtles in real life ! It's definitely an amazing experience, and is really inexpensive.

If you get lucky, like me, you will see the turtles hatching. For a couple of pesos (think of it as a donation to saving the turtles) this is not to be missed. you are on a small Island and this is close by, please, please, please make time for it. The turtles thank you.

This was a surprise as I didn't know what to expect, pools were clean, the turtles seemed well cared for and the volunteer I spoke to was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. If you're visiting Cayo Largo, definitely worth a trip to support the centre and see and feed the little ones.

Small turtle preservation center with just 8 pools. Very nice and knowledgeable staff. Fun to visit, but I wouldn't travel here just for this.

Volunteer run sea turtle hatchery and sanctuary. A truly moving experience. They harvest the eggs after the turtles nest and hatch them for safe release. They also raise a few to about 2 years to ensure a greater chance of survival.

If you're interested in animals and the environment, this is a good place to visit. There were 3 types of turtles in holding tanks, that allow for easy viewing of the turtles as they swim around. Cost is $2 CUC per person. The center is run by 2 men who have to go out in the night and retrieve the... More

Just go and enjoy turtles at different stages of life. Ask questions. Be respectful and support the hatchery.

The hatchery is a very important part of life in the Cuban islands, as they help re-populate the turtles & help the tourist understand the importance of the species
