    Awesome Beach
We went to this beach by ATV that we had rented. Lots of loungers at a cost of $2.00 CUC per person and palapas. Waves can be intimidating when the wind kicks up. Lot of beach to walk.

Great vacation, beautiful location and amazing staff
The resort was very nice, the beach was amazing. The staff couldnt help you enough they truly made the experience unforgetable. The rooms very spotless, thank you to the maids. The bar staff including Yolan who aloso worked in the restaurant were so helpful and accomodating. I did have a problem but it was solved immediately to more than my satisfaction, thanks to Ubi Saavedra. Thank you everyone who worked so hard to make our vacation so special in these stressful time. My advise is to pack bug spray, very important

    Cuba 🇨🇺 Cayo Largo
Hi people l just wanted to write this review to give you an extended information. My trip to Cayo largo Cuba was in month of June, June 2 to June 09 2023 I stayed at the Sanctuary Now here how we say pros and cons ?? Pros Excellent staff hands down no complaints Cons Do not think you have a beach excess its not there due to last big hurricane 🌀 barrier was destroyed thats why there is no actual beach 🏝️ but they are trying to build one ,if you do not like the beach no issues there if you do like it like me here it becomes a challenge…, Due to this hotel is very generous to accommodate you to next hotels , you have an amazing options to go to visit 4 hotels … you have the option to go there for breakfast until dinner all your drinks ,entertainment, included with your stay inSanctuary ….but it comes with a how should l say a catch ??? No -1 you need to take a transportation to your destination usually it a taxi (there are 2 in the island 🏝️) its cash 5 bucks each way … Or you can use your credit card )if you run out of cash like me on the 3 rd day thanks to cigars ) But you should know the taxis do not work after 8 pm so you still have to find transportation your own expense … it becomes a challenge after dinner especially if you want to stay to watch the nightly entertainment… I went to Memories almost every day l was really board at my hotel food was very limited very small dining area.. I am not complaining about that but when l went to Memories man what a difference phewww … Dont get me wrong l am not saying anything it is a good option to take advantage of this it was worth it but only issue is transportation to go to enjoy some good time… There is absolutely nothing to do in Sanctuary just pool thats it if there was a beach yes it would be fine.. Thats why l decided to ho to Memories next year .. I am writing this to give you an idea what you need to expect l had to find out in a hard way

Very nice beach, quieter than Sirena. There is a bar but no meals served at this beach. Numerous lagoons in the area with fish and water fowls. A blue heron hangs around the area plus a white smaller heron of some kind. really interesting.

White powder sand, the bluest clearest water ever and almost no one there. And the water is calm and warm. This beach made my trip and ensured I will be back. There are currently no facilities here, but there are chairs and umbrellas

If I was to describe the Playa Paraiso Beach in one word it would be perfection. I have long heard there are awesome beaches to be found in Cuba, but never in my wildest dreams could I have ever imagined anything as truly stunning as the Paraiso Beach!. There are no hotels at the Paraiso Beach, and nothing else for that matter, which makes it feel exactly as a beach should feel - natural, beautiful, and restful. My daughter and my son in law and myself enjoyed the sun and water at our hotel beach in Cayo Largo and we thought it was pretty wonderful, but going to the Paraiso Beach brought it to an entirely different level. There were not nearly as many people at the Paraiso as there were at the hotel beach and that made it so much more peaceful and relaxing. At some points throughout the afternoon when the beach had emptied out somewhat, we felt like we had our own private beach.

Most of the hotels in Cayo Largo have free transportation to the Paraiso Beach via a train, (it's not really a train though, it's more like an open air vehicle that you see taking people around at an airport - except the vehicle is longer) There are also taxi vans to get to and from the beach for a cost of two pesos each way. And there is the bus (also called a taxi). The bus is similar to buses we see in North America, except smaller. The cost for the bus is also two pesos each way. The train has a schedule going to the beach... leaving and returning to the different hotels, I believe it s something like three times a day. Taxi's and vans are more frequent. The thing you need to be aware of regarding the transportation to the beach is the train is very bumpy, so if you have a bad back do not take the train. The roads have less pavement than sand, so the ride whether you take the train, van or bus is not for the faint of heart, but so incredibly worth it!!! The trip is shorter by van or bus, the train moves much slower so it takes twice as long at least. To give you an example of the time element from the Playa Blanca Hotel to the Paraiso Beach it takes about 20 minutes or so.

The Paraiso Beach is the most gorgeous color of blue, I don't think it is possible for there to be a more beautiful shade of blue anywhere in the world. Mind you the blue color can change to some degree depending on the sun, but every day it was absolutely spectacular. I can best describe the water on some days as a vibrant, deep aqua color, and other days it was a shimmering, lighter color of blue. I have seen beaches before that were an aqua color, but this is in a league all it's own.

The water was calm for the most part on the three occasions we visited the Paraiso Beach. You can go for long walks along the shore and wade out quite a distance in the water as well. The sand on the shore is as white a sand as I have seen. And the sand in the water is very soft and pure - making it easy to walk in it.

A few other comments about the beach.
There are palapas and chairs available (no charge) but they are limited so getting there early if you really want a chair is a must. Also when the weather is really hot you need an umbrella as it is the only shade you will get.
There is a snack bar at the beach that serves drinks...pina colodas, mojitos,, beer, coconut juice etc. They also sell small snacks like sandwiches, but one of the days we were there they didn't have any food for sale at all, so need you need to be mindful of that and bring your own snacks, especially if you plan to spend the better part of the day there.
Also there are no washroom facilities at all at the Paraiso Beach. They do have facilities at the connecting Sirena Beach, the walk is long though.
Make sure you bring some form of foot wear as there are a lot of thistles that can stick to your feet and that is rather unpleasant.

In conclusion I can't say enough about the Paraiso Beach, you really have to see it to believe how truly beautiful it is. Spending quality time at this beach was definitely the highlight of my vacation and I can't wait to go back!

This is a gorgeous beach. I grew up not far from there and this area of Cuba has some of the best sand and water to be found anywhere. Simply spectacular and unspoiled. Enjoy it before the cruise ships and crowds get there and ruin it.
