Best winery visit in Tuscany
Sep 2019
We visited few wineries during our trip in Tuscany, however, Fattoria Santa Vittoria was the best one! Claudio was a perfect host and made a very interesting tour through winery, talking about the production process and the history. We appreciate that it was honest, not snobbish (as most of the Chianti winery's we visited were) and the wine was perfect!
Also, Claudio gave us some great tips for our trip, what we really appreciate.
If we are back in Tuscany, we will definitely visit Fattoria Santa Vittoria once again.

Our visit to Santa Vittoria made our Tuscan trip. Forget Montepulciano, just go here! We did the tour and dinner with wine pairing which was heavenly. Amazing hospitality and incredible passion. Mauro was a great host and we can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic wine and even better people running the place. The Vin Santo is fantastic, particularly the grape drying room! Lovely wine tasting today with Claudio and returned because of the exemplary wine and fantastic service given by Christian last year. Couldn’t come back to Tuscany without returning. Many thanks.

Impromptu visit
Jul 2019 • Couples
We are staying in Tuscany for the week and while touring around, came across this winery. We pulled in and Mauro opened up for us giving us a tasting packed with information as well as a tour of what makes his winery special. Had a great time, great wine!

Fantastic experience with a personal touch
Jul 2019 • Couples
Communication was first class. I contacted the owner Mauro by email and he arranged for an evening tour of the winery together with a food and wine pairing experience for me and my wife. On our arrival we discovered that we were the only two guests. Nevertheless Mauro was more than happy to continue with the tour which we found very interesting and informative. Following the tour we were led to a beautiful outdoor spot near to their agriturismo which overlooked the olive groves and vineyards. There we were waited on personally by Mauro and Masha. Mauro is a very modest, excellent chef and explained in great detail the fresh ingredients used in his cooking and his family recipes. The food and wine we were served was fantastic. It was a perfect evening in a wonderful setting. It is evident that Mauro is passionate about the winery and all their other amazing produce (olive oil and pasta). Both our hosts were professional, attentive and warm throughout the evening. We would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Stunning location
Jul 2019 • Family
We stayed here as a family of 5 for a week in one of the apartments. Our 2 bedroom apartment was adequately furnished with a living area, kitchen/dining room, one en suite bedroom and another bedroom with a separate bathroom. The best part though was the private outdoor space with table, chairs and even a couple of deck chairs, all suitably positioned so we could benefit the stunning views across the vineyard and beyond.
The premises also have a much welcome swimming pool set in a lawned area at the back of the property, again offering great far reaching views of the Tuscan countryside.
There were a couple of supermarkets within a 10 minute drive from the property which enabled us to pick up the daily essentials, one must note though that Italian supermarkets in this area operate at very different times to those we are used to in the UK. Best to check with the hosts for advice before making a fruitless journey.
The area is great for exploring with lakes, castles, churches and quaint local villages all within a short drive.
One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the wine tour and subsequent traditional Tuscan meal put on by our hosts Mauro and Marta, the wine tasting and explanation how the wines are created was most informative as was the tour of the cellars. This was followed by a sumptuous four course meal accompanied by a selection of their wines, you also get the opportunity to revisit the winery at anytime to purchase the wines, honey, olive oil and pasta at very reasonable prices.
Overall a great holiday experience in a stunning location which was well received by our family, thank you all at Fattoria Santa Vittoria.

Last minute birthday surprise...
Jun 2019 • Friends
One of our friends was celebrating their birthday on the last night of our Tuscany trip. I found this gem on Trip Advisor and booked it the day before. We had a private tour of the wine cellar, a private tasting and then went out to a beautiful setting on the farm and had the best meal of our trip. Claudio is amazing and we loved hearing all about the wines, how they are made and all of the other cool things they are doing. Maura was wonderful and very accommodating and the meal, Favolosa!! If you want a great Tuscany experience, this is it!

Perfecto Wine pairing dinner and wine tour!
Jun 2019 • Couples
My husband and I were fortunate enough to learn of this winery from the owner of our cottage and then from recommendations on trip advisor.

First off Mauro and Marta, husband and wife, were a treasure. Mauro gave us a tour of his winery with tastings of their superb wines. He shared the history of the area and it was fascinating. It does not have the commercialized feel of the huge wineries. Although make no mistake, this is the real deal.

We also booked a wine pairing dinner prepared by Mauro and his wife Marta. One of the best meals we had in our travels. From bruschetta, local meats and cheese paired with wine and that special Vin Santo! Fresh homemade wheat papperdelle made with wheat from their fields and an unbelievable homemade sorbet...mauro’s recipe. All of this to be experienced under a grapevine arbor with views and sunset! We even met 2 of their sweet cats!

Such gracious, talented people that made you feel at home. Highly recommend!

Awesome wine tasting
Sep 2018 • Friends
We had a 2PM tour with Claudio, having made reservations only 3 hours in advance. The tour was absolutely amazing! Claudio spoke great English, was really friendly, and very passionate. He taught us a lot about the winemaking process, what makes a wine good or bad, and how to test if a wine is good. He also allowed us to try a lot of different types of wine (and gave pretty hefty servings for all of them); first, he gave us red wine from a bad harvest, so we could understand what bad wine tastes like, and then he gave us a variety of delicious wines from red to white to sweet. At the end of the tour, we were able to purchase bottles of wine. The prices were ridiculously cheap; the most expensive bottle, which was sweet wine, was only about 17 euros, while the other wines were an average of 10 euros. Have I already said how awesome Claudio is?? He gave us a history lesson about the area that the winery is in and gave us a recommendation of where to go for lunch. Even more, one of our party was pregnant and couldn't taste any of the wine; Claudio gifted her a bottle of red wine to open when her baby turns 18! It was really touching. Our visit to Fattoria Santa Vittoria was perfect; I hope I can come back one day! Thank you Claudio!
