landmark colonial era building is given over to a museum that seems perennially empty. Like its counterparts throughout the country, the collection is an assortment of revolutionary artefacts and some US military junk. Museum junkies and incurable historians will enjoy a wander through. The building is one of Ben Tre's most spectacular and its riverfront location makes it an easy place to spend half an hour.

it's a nice colonial building, just next to the big Vit Uc Hotel, but the visit is not really worth it, except if you are interested in the local history of the local anticolonial war. Ben Tre was the starting point of the upraisal and therfore important.

I loved the Colonial building Ben Tre museum is housed in and there is valuable local history documented here but I was saddened to see a lack of care given to the exhibits...fading photos scratched paintings, incomplete descriptions/not enough translations. I hope some money can be found to preserve Ben Tre's story.
