You need a permit to be able to camp or visit, so arrange that before you attempt to visit. Some excellent hikes on offer, not for the feint hearted, but so worth the effort when you make it all the way to the top, then again over to the pools beyond. Camp site is also enjoyable, there are some water... More

We walked (with the requited National Parks permit) from Flying Fox Crossing into Koolpin Gorge and beyond. The 4WD-accessible camping area at Koolpin Gorge is dusty and has little shade, but the gorge itself is great. We were told to delay swimming until we were above the 2nd falls, as there is a rocky ramp beside the 1st falls that... More

Great location. Campsite is WAY WAY too small and restricted, especially when there is just so much space around the place. Why do National Parks allways seem to want to try and replicate Suburbia in a campsite? Give us some space please. That said this is one of the better spots in Kakadu, definately worth trying to get a permit... More
