The idea of a hospital in a cave is really cool. And caves are cool. But this is just loads of concrete in a cave. Most of the 17 odd rooms are completely empty too so there's not much to see.

While it is not the most impressive cave system you are likely to visit, it is quite interesting nonetheless. The hospitable was built during the American war. The scale and craftsmanship is staggering. The rooms are left barren and their is no printed material to explain, but it is fairly self-explanatory. There is a nearby friendly restaurant to park your... More

The hospital cave is very interesting place if you like history. Be sure however to ask the guys that check your ticket to tell you something about the cave, otherwise it's just empty rooms you will be looking at. You pay the guide what you think is worth it at the end of your visit.

It is a very interesting and fascinating site. I would recommend having a guide as we didn't and there isn't any information around the cave, it may make the experience more enjoyable.

This hospital is built in a cave on Cat Ba island in the war. No much things to see here. If you have time, take a look at this war hospital, it is not far from the center of Cat Ba island.

None of the equipment or beds were there so it was just walking through a cave with rooms. Only lasted 10 minutes. Tour guide spoke good English. Just wasn't that fascinating without the furniture setting the scene. Would skip.

This is a great attraction to visit if you decided to rent a bike and tour the island a little. It isn't in it's original state but gives you an idea what it may of been like when bombs were dropping on Cat Ba. It would be a nice stop off before continuing your bike ride around the island, it... More

We hired a scooter and drove up here to see the cave, you buy a ticket across the road, cost is VD 40000, you go up stairs and then the guy at the top takes your ticket and gives you a bit of history about the cave, they offer to give you a guide to go through but we didn't... More

The idea of building a hospital in a cave is interesting, but after you pay 40k vnd which is same as national park entrance, you find that there is actually not much to see except few empty rooms and empty area in cave. Place could be much better if management adds some creative ideas like soldiers waxed body or building... More
