As soon as I entered the park I wanted to leave. Most animals are caged in small spaces and look like they are in poor condition

It was amazing. So many big and little turtles 🐢 you can see, touch and feed them. More then 700 baby's behind glas. And so many big turtles. It was only a whow. Very nice nature and other animals in the park. But the best where all the turtles. We did a private tour by a taxi. Talk about the... More

Beautiful animal park in the south of Mauritius. Not very easy to find but it deserves. The ticket is 490 rupies. The park takes a few hours to be visited; quite nice, starting from the crocodiles and then many tortoises, any size, very interesting. Interesting insect museum, well explained, often only in French, but it's well kept. You'll find a... More

If you love tortoises, iguanas, crocodiles this is a must visit. I'm partial towards the tortoises. There were thousands of them, gigantic ones, baby ones, so many different species. You are allowed to walk inside the park where these tortoises reside. We saw one that was digging a hole and was told that it was getting ready to lay eggs.... More

when we were living on Mauritius this was one of our go-to places. Great for a half-day trip to spend few peaceful hours walking and seeing animals. Then a lunch and coffee in the restaurant make the day. Turtle kindergarten and bugs museum are my top shots.

Must Visit!!! Worth the journey to the other side of the island. Great experience with the tortoises, absolutely amazing hands on experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. The rest of the park was also very interesting. Watching lions being fed and other animals going about their business was a good sight to see. Very well run,... More

Well... to start of with, the entry fee, it clearly says on a board at the entrance that visitors who are not Mauritian have to pay double to get in... Secondly.. they have a monkey enclosure! And they looked as miserable as hell!! If you take a 15 minute drive, you can see the exact same monkeys in the wild!!... More

Hello Jake, First of all, thank you for your review and for taking the time to give your opinion. Here in Mauritius the purchasing power is not the same as in the UK that’s why local people pay less than the tourists. We are certainly glad you enjoyed the tortoises in their semi-wild savannah enclosure. However it is not possible... More

The kids loved the park and were able to view the different reptiles there together with the big Aldabra Tortoises, the geckos, the different species of crocodiles. The insectarium was great. The garden is well maintained and the Aldabra tortoises have got a nursery with lots of baby tortoises which pleased the kids. Overall an interesting visit.

I visited here recently with my 4 year old daughter. I struggled with how to rate this. Average might be too low but Very Good is too high. First, I self drive from the Mahebourg area and it was not easy to find. Once in the general area there are signs but I have found road signs in Mauritius to... More

Unless you have small children that walk slowly or are obsessed with animals, this is best for a half day. Also, they gave me the resident price because I am married to a resident. Staff were very friendly and engaging. The tortoises are our favorite and the real draw to this park. My husband comes every time he visits. Recommend... More
