Gorgeous property, hospitable hosts who own the land and produce extra virgin olive oils that are delicious. The wines are also excellent. You must visit this family run operation if you are in Istria and near Motovun.

It was a little adventure go get there but with great views and scenery! When we got there a young man helped us and explained the differences between the oils, the history and we could taste them all. Unfortunately one of the oils was sold out, so we had only three options but they were all very nice (and perfect as a souvenir!). Recommend it if you like good quality food and oils!

Our group of 8 visited Ipsa on a driving tour of Istria and absolutely loved it. The folks are friendly and informative, the setting is incredible, and their products -- particularly the olive oil -- are delicious. Olive oil is not just olive oil; like wine, the flavor and experience of different oils depends on the olives used, the location of the trees, etc. It was fun to taste the differences between oils made from different olives, sections of the orchard, and blends -- like a wine tasting. If only Ipsa and Croatian olive oil generally were more available in the USA! Put this place on your list the next time you visit Croatia.

If ever you find yourself in Istria, try to find the time to visit this glorious spot. It is nestled amongst ancient olive groves from which the estate makes some of Europe’s finest olive oils. Across the valley you can see the hilltop village of Motovun. You can also taste some delicious Ipša Malvasia wine which is also grown here. And, if you’re lucky, you may get to sample some of the hearty food served in the small restaurant. It’s not very sumptuous or grand or fancy but if you like things unfussy, honest and real this place will not disappoint.

We smelled and tasted delicious olive oil - supposed to be some of the best. Nice and qualified presentation of three different oils - two single olive oils and a blend of five different olives. We bought five bottles and recommend this place. They export to Germany, Belgium, Japan and Austria.
