Has potential
Nov 2021 • Family
The visit was quite interesting in general, if you want to understand how the people of the UAE used to live at a certain time, but it is clear that there is a lack of investment in this restauration project. Indeed, the features of the structures could be more highlighted in order to make it look more appealing for visitors.

Visited this place for the first time with friends, it was nice experience, seeing the place knowing about the history was good.

It's great to have the chance to see the history of such an amazing country who lead other countries to the future but still they are taking to their history, nice place to whom love the historical places not big but will give full picture on how the villages were at that age. I advise to visit

Disappointed, and urgently needs some TLC
Feb 2021
I love learning about other cultures and their history, so after visiting Hatta Dam I was excited to visit the Heritage Village.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the experience, but that is not to say I wouldnt recommend the visit to anyone.

Whilst there are lots to see and information to read, the 'exhibits' are looking very tired and out-dated. All of the technology (projectors, TV screens, and audio) was not working at all and some were clearly broken.

It seems like there was a decent initial investment in this project but since has been left to dwindle away into disrepair, which surprises me considering how proud a nation the UAE is.

I hope this village manges to gain some further investment to upgrade and bring this back to its full potential.

Worth a visit
Dec 2020 • Couples
Took a drive from Dubai to Hatta - had been recommended. Lovely place to visit. We stopped at the Heritage Village, may have got there too early as nothing was set up - so we just wandered around, it was cool to visit though. Gave a good understanding of what life was like, how people lived. Good that it is free entry. The fort is worth a look. Enjoy.

The renovation is nicely done but all the projectors in the area were not working which is sad!
We visited on a weekday and there were n shops open and the place was practically empty.
Restaurant on site serves yummy food.

This review is about Hatta Heritage Village which about 75min drive from Dubai via Maliha road depending on your driving speed. It's basically a restored traditional village, but restored, sanitized and prettied up. If you are nature, desert lover, then you are going to enjoy the road drive and the changing landscapes. Heritage village is a well laid village passage of old Dubai. You can see the whole place in less than One hour upright change from the hustle bustle and high rises of Dubai. It tend to be empty, super less visitors and boring for the 2nd time comer as there is nothing new to add, further, No shades, No Staff to help or guide, The museum looks empty. It can be a fun trip for a group or a small family in proper air-conditioned car. The place is accessible by all type cars. Plenty of Parking spaces and its free. Please bring your own food, water and sunblock and rest of the things you need as you are not going to find any stores or supermarket over there. The view from the top of the fort is amazing. I don't know if there a guidebook to accompany the self-tour, or if there were events and/or guides and we'd just missed them, but all in all, the Heritage Village was just a ghost town that you had to walk through to get from the fort to the tower. Such a shame - such a missed opportunity! BUT, if you're in the area, do visit it - they've made a real effort, which is commendable for IELTS students.

Drive to Hatta HEritage Village

Hatta Heritage village is 75min drive from Dubai via Maliha road. Excellent road and good changing landscapes. A relaxed drive. Heritage village is a well laid village scene of old Dubai. Well kept and maintained. One hour enough to see and appreciate the place. A good change from the hustle bustle and high rises of Dubai. Recommend to visit once.

Nice trip and guide
Nov 2019
Our guide was nice and friendly and pickup time was on time. Scene at the Hatta was beautiful and the Hatta Heritage Village provided lots of information. Our guide was patient to wait for us to take photos and introduce choices of lunch and let us to get off at gold suck instead. Nice trip and guide.
