The walk up to the tower isn't too taxing and the rewards at the top are well worth the effort with fantastic views down to Calp, round to the mountains and out to sea. Take care on the ascent and descent as there are some rocky sections which need some care and attention.

If you want to walk to a destination where the only result is the view then this is perfect. No bar at the end but only a great view. Attention difficult to find the right way

Firstly, pick your day and time to go carefully- if possible (and for the best view) pick a clear (not hazy) day and try to be on top by midday at the latest depending on time of year. Unfortunately the climb is initially rough paths and rocks so definitely not accessible to visitors who are not fully mobile; the papers reported in September 2019 that a proper path is planned in the near future! Also, walking boots, sturdy shoes, trainers etc are highly recommended- travel in sandals at your peril. Take plenty of cold water although tradition says take a bottle of cava to celebrate with at the top but remember- who goes up must also come down! The walk from El Portet beach to the mirador takes about an hour and, depending on ability and fitness, can be broken into several rest stops. You can park a lot closer to the entrance to the path but can be busy peak season, this takes 30 to 45 mins to the top depending on rest and photos stops. This is a ‘must do’ visit during your stay in Moraira, it’s free and also the kids we saw had a great adventure. The views from the top are well worth the effort and you get a great sense of achievement once completed.

A short but picturesque walk that gives a different view of moraira! Tricky in sections but worth it when you get to the top!

We loved this little hike to the Torre Vigia which gives you the view on both sides of the bay. It's not a very long hike, but you climb a fair amount so it's a nice little workout. The drop-offs are not very scary, there's always a lot of trees or some more ground between you and the cliff's edge.
