A beautiful place to visit and a lovely little town to explore. We found a great cafe just up the road called Bar Bistrot Travolo Caldo, highly recommended. Like most of the area the retail shops close from about 12.30 to about 3.30pm though!

The city get it's name after the Bridge! If you look fast it may not catch your attention, but when you start to look closely and carefully you see what a great effort and accomplishment was done 2000 years ago by the Romans!
You can walk through the bridge and get some very nice pictures from the city!
Check on Wikipedia, specially the article in Italian, has o lot of information about it.

This bridge is pretty on first glance but when you investigate further you see how it is hemmed in by the surrounding houses. There is a nice little trail which notes some of the local history but bearing in mind the views are either the hydro electric plant or over more of the town it’s not the best bridge in the area.

Well worth a look at this very grand structure and see the amazing construction of the past. Walk under and over the bridge and admire the grandeur of the bridge.

This bridge is pretty cool if you get to see it and worth the photo opportunity. A bit of the motorway but worth the detour. The water rushing underneath is so fresh and cooling

Pont-Saint-Martin in the Aosta Valley, is one of the Via Francigena destinations. Making the pilgrimage last year we stopped in the tiny town, and admired this masterpiece of Roman engineering that dates back to the 1st century. The bridge is located in a delightful hill side setting, with a hydroelectric station and waterfall nearby. There is an interesting legend about the pact St Martin de Tours made with the devil to save the people of the town when stopping there during his Via Francigena pilgrimage to Rome. I would welcome any information about it.

Going through Pont-Saint-Martin you cross a bridge and see this old and nice Roman bridge over Torrente Lys. Beautiful place for a photo.

This old bridge is one of the best spots to take your next profile picture.
The river, road, mountains and the bridge itself make together a beautiful scene.
Definitely worth the stop.
