This is a quick stop to look at the history in the area and imagine what it would have been like in days gone by, There is a car park a short walk away from Via delle Gallie.

Quick stop!

The Via delle Gallie, it's a small stretch of this old Roman road that used to link Paris to Rome, and this particular part was all excavated on the rock, and you can see the traces where the wagons used to pass. There's also a a Pietra Miliare (a ancient road sign) that's marks XXXVI miles to reach Aosta.
It's a quick stop but it's very interesting and makes you think about all the effort that was made to build it and all the people that passed by!!
