These waterfalls seem to be - judging from the size of the parking lot near Lillaz - a main tourist spot. Basically the way through teh village alongside ice cream shops and cafes seem to support it. But in fact at the end of the holiday season when the waterlevels have already lowered, the falls ar enot so immense anymore. We have seen much nicer ones in any case, though you can admire the falls from several levels.
The community has endeavoured to make the way towards the falls into a nice park with some art. All explanation is however in Italian.
When staying in Cogne it is a relatively short (one hour) walk along a river bench towards Lillaz and the falls. But I wouldn't make the detour especially for them

Very nice place, but be careful for the horses at the last so called 'private' section. The horse smelled cookies in the childrens carrier bag, i wanted to give it but it didn't let me come closer to my wife. Then it gave me a push, later also my wife. We walked away and it let us go lucky enough. At the end of summer it was very calm, probably it get food all the time in the season. I am aware there was a sign but would like to warn other tourists.

This place has lots of waterfalls, one after the other. We were there at the end of the summer season so I suppose that they were at their lowest level which is still beautiful, but when compared to the Rutor Falls it is a bit of a letdown, I don't think that the Rutor falls ever have a low being fed by a glacier.
This is a very easy hike, we entered a park at 1,630 meters and did a nice easy walk up to 1,777 about 45 minutes going up and the same back down. Of course that includes a lot of stops just to take photos. Take your time to find all the vantage points of the different falls - there are plenty of them.
We stayed close to all the falls on our way up. At what we thought was the top of the trail, after about 500 meters - there was a bridge over one of the high waterfalls and the sign on the other side led back to the village of Lillaz, which made us think that this was the end of the climb up and now that there was a different hike back down - we decided to continue climbing by going back across the bridge and turning into a gate of a private property that is open, we could see another trail sign just beyond it and we followed that trail up to an even higher fall.
We returned on practically the same route till we saw a sign to a different way back to Lillaz village through a forest that didn't seem to have those large stone steps, so we followed that trail back to the entrance.
Parking: there is a small parking lot at the beginning of the trail inside the village. We drove from Cogne to Lillaz, at the entrance to the village there is a big parking lot with a small parking fee. Beyond that is a right turn into the village across a bridge.
Just enter the village and take the first left and that will lead to the small parking lot at the start of the hike trail. If it is full you will have to go back to the main parking lot.

Easy access, you can see the main fall after a walk of only around 20 Minutes, it is magical and well worth it!

Easy to reach location - about 5-10 min past Cogne, and just park at the town parking lot. Walt about 15 minutes and you are at the bottom of the waterfall. Paved pathway and easy for all ages. More adventurous ones can climb all the way to top of the fall (we did not do that but probably should have good hiking shoes and maybe a stick). Great way to get a glimps of Grand Paradiso N.P. without spending to much time driving off the highways.

Impressive waterfalls, not like Iguazu or Niagara, but very pretty. And walking there there is a park with larges stones which came down with the glaciers

Located in the Grand Paradiso nationalpark you can find these waterfalls, which fall down over a series of cascades by about 150 metres, the first waterfall is just 15 minutes out from the main parking of the village, in about 40 minutes you can reach the highest lookout point. There are about 5 main lookout points, in a few spots it is possible to even jump in the river for a bit.

We walked from Cogne to Lillaz and then further to the waterfalls. Great views everywhere. We stopped for lunch in the Wood near Lillaz.
The waterfall is easy to find and there are some steeps hills to get there, but not difficult since there are railings and some steps in the most steep parts.
We went with 2 70 year old grand parents and 3 kids under the age to ten, and every one made the trip. Be careful as always in the Mountains and the trip will be amazing!

Very worth the short walk up to these falls, and a path suitable for all levels of walkers. The climb beyond is quite steep, but also worth it.

A short walk from the Village of Lillaz you arrive at the waterfalls. There are a few different approaches and one that allows less active people to appreciate the beauty of the falls. Lots of places to take a drink and eat. Recommended.

Since we are coming by public transport. I would like to know how far is from Cogne bus stop. And is it suitable to walk from bus stop to Lillaz waterfall?
Written August 11, 2019
Lillaz is about three kilometres from Conge. There is a bus that runs between the two villages.
It is a short walk from the bus stop to the waterfalls
Written August 11, 2019
The current in the waterfall is very strong and there are many rocks so I would certainly not recommended. I am not even sure if it is allowed because of the injury risk

andata e ritorno completo cioè (fino in cima) vanno fatti sullo stesso percorso?
grazie
Written July 28, 2018

Grazie
