We went to the museum with no expectations at all. It turned out to be a very nice chamber museum with authentic, very beautiful wooden doors. The museum displays one painting all year, but how! Before the painting itself is shown, a film about the artist and the era is shown, lasting 35 minutes. Very atmospheric, can be seen on all(!) walls of the hall. We liked! Heartwarming! I want to come back next year!

A unique museum of its kind with an interesting concept.
Only one painting is shown here.
When I was here in October 2021, a painting by Aivazovsky was shown here.
First, you watch a 45-minute film dedicated to the life and work of Aivazovsky in Feodosia, then the curtain opens and you can carefully examine the original painting itself.
If you have an hour of time, then it's worth visiting!
Measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19: the requirement to maintain social distance, wear a mask, employees wear masks.

This is one of the most unique museums you'll ever visit. If you're in Penza, don't miss it! Everything about it is perfect.

I couldn't visit this museum because if you are a solo traveller you can only visit at 1pm and only if you have pre-booked. So a visit takes quite a bit of organisation. Pity, according to the poster outside it is one of the top 3 unusual museums in the world!
