This temple is located between Hanmakonda and Warangal on the Bank of Lake. Morning time is the best time to visit this temple.

It is Believed that this temple was built in 625 AD by King Pulakeshan II of Chalukya Dynasty. Later it was developed by Kakatiya Kings and They considered Badrakali as their Kula Devatha.

Other mesmerizing thing here is God and Goddess statues on top of the hills which are so nice to see.

Badrakali Idol inside temple gives very positive vibrations with fierce looking eyes, and eight arms each carrying different weapons.

Temple Timings:
Morning 05:30 to 01:00
Evening 03:00 to 08:30

Bhadrakali Temple is one of the oldest temples for Goddess Bhadrakali in Warangal City of Telangana State in India... This temple is located on the banks of the Bhadrakali lake, a beautiful location between Hanamkonda and Warangal. It is about 3 Kms from Warangal Railway Station & RTC Bus Stand.

The Temple gives an excellent panoramic view for the visitors. A huge lake on one side and the Rock Mountains adjoining the temple on the other side, keeps the visitors in a pleasant mood..
Its a perfect mood for a devotee to pray the Goddess with a fresh mind..

There are 8 major and 12 minor temples in the mountains surrounding the Bhadrakali Temple including Padmakshi temple, Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, Sri Narasimha swamy temple and Sri Pothuluri Veerabrahmendra Swamy temple..

The temple's main deity Goddess Bhadrakali's image is made in a 2.7x2.7 meters square stone facing West with pleasant looking eyes holding weapons in her eight hands with Shiva under her feet. 'Sree Chakram' and 'Utsava Vigrahas' of Bhadrakali are placed in front of the main deity.

A statue of Lion, Bhadrakali's Vahana on which She rides, is placed opposite the Sanctum Sanctum. The temple also has a Dhwaja Sthambam and Balipeetham...The temple management is running a Veda Pathasala (School for learning Vedas) near the temple..

I have a privilege of working at Warangal during the period 1996 to 1999 and I have visited this temple many times. After leaving Warangal, I came again in September 2013, along with my friends to visit again. Bhadrakali Temple has become a major tourist place in view of its location and people from many parts of India visit this temple. Please do'nt miss the visit this temple if you are passing through Warangal...

During my last visit to Warangal I visited this beautiful place. It is near the banks of a huge lake. The temple surroundings are really extraordinary. There is a beautiful mountain looking as if in 3 pieces. The major attraction is the lovely lake near the temple. Another best thing is the main idol of Kaali matha with peace in her eyes and looking beautiful. Felt very peaceful. One should visit during the sunset time. The temple and surroundings are wonderful at this time.

I used to go there frequently as a student in Warangal and then visited the temple on Navami this year. With rocky terrain all around and the Bhadrakali lake, the temple is beautifully situated. This isn't a large complex but worth a visit
