Finally stopped here for breakfast on the way back from our frequent canal walks.

We both had bacon, sausage and black pudding rolls from the barge café. So cheap and the bacon was actually cooked properly, which is normally rare. Not too chewy, not fatty, just about right, and so soft.

There's clean public toilets and free parking too, and such lovely long, picturesque walks with good wheelchair access although the bridge could be a problem for some wheelchair users as could the path that isn't tarmacked.

A local haunt that is used by locals, tradesmen, walkers, cyclers, boaters and travellers alike.

A very nice place to walk, always good to see the canal boats and surrounding countryside. If you enjoy taking photos it's good for that too, there can be some nice autumn colours.. About 10 minutes' walk from Pontypool Park so the two can be easily be visited in a short space of time. Worth a visit!

Clean and tidy with public toilets and free parking.
Lovely little Dry docked narrow boat, converted into a little cafe, which sell amazing cakes and cooked breakfasts etc. Used a lot by locals and local tradesmen.
I was amazed at the quality of drinks and food at very reasonable prices. DOG FRIENDLY!!! At last a place you can eat in or out and take the family dog.
Go over the bridge and walk for miles along the canal.
Would recommend

Parking is available here.
Great location and happy to note there is a lovely converted canal barge as a cafe.
Toilets are just behind which is great when busting.
Lovely location with plenty of canal barges and access to the canal.
Would recommend.

A very nice place to spend a couple of hours walking around the canal and basin.

A great place for dog walking, biking, jogging or just a slow stroll.

Pleasant cafe which serves great cakes and beverages.

Plenty of wildlife to see and interesting to look at the boats.
