I have always thought very highly of Blaenafon Cheddar. Unfortunately having had a failed online order I have been totally unable to get any response from them. I have phoned numerous times, leaving messages on two different numbers, to no avail. I have e.mailed them. I have visited the shop twice. Absolutely nothing. They have my money, I have no goods, and I can't even ask for a refund.

If you want to try different, homemade cheeses, then this is the place for you. All cheese are homemade in the family run shop. We done the cheddar tasting and it didn't disappoint. Friendly, knowledgeable and well worth it

Discovered this gem while visiting the historical town of Blaenavon. Absolutely delicious hand-made cheeses using locally sourced ingredients. Loved the traditional mature cheddar and also opted for the Dragon's Breath (cheddar with chilli mustard) and cheddar with onion marmalade and Taffy Apple cider. There was a variety of original cheeses in a number of sizes, all beautifully wax sealed. Also noticed their lovely display of cheese tasting awards Started by a local mum and her lovely 18 year old daughter, this is a must visit for all cheese lovers.

The cheese is so tasty and full of flavour. I've bought the cheese for myself a number of times and decided to buy a gift set for a friend. I odered through the website which was easy to use. Can't fault the customer service. Friendly staff.

As we had a houseful of guests over the weekend, we asked the the lovely Sue and Gerry of The Blaenavon Cheddar Company if they could come along to our home and give us all a talk on her company and produce.
After setting up early on a Sunday morning in the garden, (thanks for getting up so early on your day off), Sue and Gerry proceeded to talk us through the origins of the company, their worldwide export markets, and how they produced their multi-award winning cheeses, one of which, Pwll Mawr, is matured down a real coal mine.
Then came the tastings . . . . enjoyed by all . . . . many of us had individual favourites including the Pwll Mawr, Dragon's Breath and Cider and Onion Marmalade Cheddar. It goes without saying that many purchases were made as we could not resist.
Sue also brought along lots of different locally-produced honeys and chutneys which were equally as delicious.
If you or your company are ever looking a talk thats a little different and much more interesting and interactive than the norm, you would be hard-pushed to beat a presentation by The Blaenavon Cheddar Company.
They also have their own well-stocked store in Blaenavon High Street, address listed on Trip Advisor.

The Blaenafon Cheddar Cheese Company produce a most delicious range of hand made cheeses. It is a small, family company with a passion for making a range of very high quality products. As yet, they are not available in supermarkets but they can be bought on-line or from a number of smaller outlets around Wales. It would be well worth searching for an outlet near you.

Terrific attraction where you can see multi award-winning Blaenavon Cheddar actually being made on the premises. The welcome is friendly and the choice of cheeses (many laced with liquer) is wide.

I wasn’t sure about travelling for almost 3 hrs ‘just’ for a cheese tasting but it was definitely worth it! After visiting a cheese factory a while back, we were surprised to see this small shop. When we came in, everything was set up and Susan’s welcome was very friendly, she made us feel like we entered a friend’s house. Thinking we were going to eat a few cheeses and leave within a few minutes was a big mistake. We enjoyed listening to the stories and about the history of the lovely place which added the special character to the experience. By the time we were just about to taste the cheese, I was almost drooling over it but the wait was definitely worth it! The smell, texture and the taste of all of the cheeses were amazing. I wouldn’t normally enjoy a couple of flavours, but these combinations complimented each other so much that we had to buy quite a few. I’m sure we’re going to find a way of getting some more in the future. Loving cheese as much as I do, I have eaten quite a few in my life :) This very small family business is incredible and producing what I would easily call the best cheese. Thank you!

Step into cheese heaven in a local producers shop in Blaenavon. Try a cheese matured deep in Big Pit or my favourite cheese blended with chives and Penderyn whisky.
The staff are friendly and there are many different cheeses available to suit all tastes, perfect for your Christmas cheese board.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are currently resting in Alykanas Village in Zante. It is important for people to leave honest reviews.
Some of the reviews for our hotel have been terrible so I am writing a blog so people can have an honest report.
We are having a superb time.
As a family we hope to welcome you back at Christmas for some amazing goodies

Only a small shop but expanding shortly, packed with all kinds of deliciousness. One of the most welcoming places you could hope to visit, my grand daughter enjoyed being shown around.
The range of things available is awesome, not just cheese but chutney's and drinks.
The owners obviously love their job and all cheese lovers should offer support and at least visit their web site.
