Lovely park
Sep 2021 • Family
Wonderful outdoor space with lots of different areas to enjoy.
Love this park, having a play park, ski slip, leisure centre, grotto and ponds all in one is a brilliant bonus! That’s not even mentioning the Orchard, Tennis courts and skate park.
Very privileged to have this in our local area.

Staying in the area to visit friends, walked the park and got a hot drink at the active living center. Lovely open areas and nice walks, clean and well kept.

A lovely walk
Oct 2020 • Couples
A lovely large park usually thriving with life, but the rain meant it was very quiet. Sad to see the cafe closed, offered drinks through a hatch but too cold to walk around with a coffee.

Great park that has so much to offer, skiing, rugby, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, gym, coffee or even a beer.

Awesome Park
Sep 2019
I have visited this Park Many times. Its really big and got lots of facilities ranging from tennis courts, outdoor bowling Green, Skate board park for all the keen skate boarders and trick cyclists. Childrens play area, Home to the famous Pontypool rfc. There is also the run in the park every sunday for all you fitness people. Lovely Place. Pontypool Council need to wake up and utilise this fantastic park with more event. Steam and classic car shows would work as well as more music. Make car parks in Pontypool Free like cwmbran and see the difference. Support your Local traders and bring the future in to Pontypool. Sorry for going on but this is a fantastic Park. People naturally wander into Pontypool Centre to check the shops out.there is a leisure Centre at the park with Cafe and Sports utilities. Also Parking there.

A breath of fresh air in the centre of town
Dec 2019
Pontypool is an interesting town if you take the time to understand it and Pontypool Park is the jewel in the crown of this place. Covering 150 acres, it ranges from formally laid out grounds with tennis courts, play equipment and a band stand, to naturalistic ponds, vast vistas across the Usk Valley and includes the Folly and the Shell Grotto. Also home to the famous Pontypool Rugby Ground, the park also contains the leisure centre and the local Catholic School and Museum also sit next to it. There is plenty of free parking, or the bus station is just above the park. Take a picnic and roam all day, enjoying the wildlife, book a session at the dry slope ski centre or take your dog for an exhilarating walk. The number of tree species is marvellous and I thoroughly recommend a romantic walk in spring under the avenue of blossom trees. A delightful place for all the family.
