My husband and I arrived to Cabo Pulmo late on a Wednesday afternoon. Most of the dive shops were already closed but we saw stuff members in CPW and decided to ask about dives. We were diving the very next morning and what an experience it was !! Leo, our dive master was excellent. His experience and knowledge of the dive sites made our dives unforgettable. We dove in a small group of 3 + DM which I appreciated highly. A lot of dive shops won't make a trip for less than 4 divers. My husband and I have 100+ dives experience and I am confident that our boat captain was THE BEST captain we have ever dove with! He went an extra mile to make sure our experience on board was exceptional. Unfortunately we visited Cabo Pulmo towards the end of our Baja trip and couldn't do more than 2 consecutive days of diving with CPW but I am sure we will be returning shortly for more adventures!

They are all similar, and we've been on 2 different companies, including Cabo Pulmo Watersports. Unless it's the height of on-season, you can just show up and get on a tour. All the companies pool their people together to make sure boats are full. You'll see sea lions, snorkel with plenty of amazing fish, and if you're lucky you'll see the Big Eyes and the rays. And if it's whale season, and it was for us, you'll hang with whales (we were side by side with three of the largest whales I've ever seen for 20 minutes or more. Astounding). The guides are helpful, and they provide wetsuits for those of you that get cold (we passed on the wetsuits, as for us the water was just fine).

Good diving school in the area, fully equipped with everything, they organise boat dives to various areas, beware that the seas are ROUGH sometimes and most people suffer from sea sickness, on our first dive in el Morro I suffered such bad sea sickness prior to the dive and couldn’t enjoy what would have been an amazing dive with bull sharks and vomited immediately after the dive! I had paid for 2 dives in advance and had to abort for the second one because I was so sea sick and they took me to shore. There were no dives the day after so my booking went to waste and annoying how they couldn’t accommodate one divers

We were so happy to be able to book with this company. The company that had told us they would take us out never opened for the day. So Cabo Pulmo Watersports arranged for our snorkeling all last minute. From the beginning they were friendly and helpful. I am nervous about snorkeling and they were extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this company.

I dove with Cabo Pulmo Watersports for 2 days (4 dives total) and my wife dove one day. We went during one of the busiest weeks of the year (week of New Years). I strongly recommend diving at least 4 times because: 1) Some sites may not be available during busy weeks (Cabo Pulmo has a restriction on number of divers allowed on popular sites in a week during busy times). 2) It increases your chance of having a spectacular dive. I had one spectacular dive, one great dive, one good dive, and one "ok" dive. The spectacular dive can be amazing due to the large number of fish...on my dive (El Vencedor) we saw bull sharks, octopus, and a school of fish that filled the entire camera frame. All pictures attached are from that dive. Diving at this time of year is also interesting because you have a good chance of seeing whales during surface intervals and hearing whales while diving...very cool. Logistically...it was very busy at the dive shop in the morning with lots of people getting kitted up for diving and snorkeling. The gear was in decent shape...the wetsuits and BCDs were good, I had a small leak on my inflater hose that was quickly fixed the next day, and my wife had a broken needle on one of her gauges. None of these were diving show stoppers. Our dive guide was Karina and she was fantastic...very patient leading a dive (not in a hurry)...very enthusiastic and helpful. Would definitely dive with them again!
