Wow! What a little gem in Herberton! This place is amazing!! If you love old things this is a massive collection and one of the best I’ve ever seen. The entry fee $29 - very well worth it. You won’t be disappointed!! It has so...More

We started the two-hour walk through this extensive museum village with a coffee in the Bakerfield pub, which was of dismal quality. The collections are impressive in size, but too much to digest. The best expositions were those where you could see how people lived...More

Being of the older generation, this really took us back to our childhood. No electricity, running water etc. this display is wonderfully presented. So much to see. The grounds are beautifully maintained and are a credit to the owners. Make sure you wear comfortable footwear...More

We nearly didn't stop here thinking $29 each was a bit expensive but after looking at reviews, reluctantly decided to. I'm so, so glad we did. We spent the entire day here amazed at the wonderfully restored and non restored huge array of incredibly interesting...More

This is a great place to view a wide range of historical artefacts. I was very impressed with the collection, flow of display and things to do. We enjoyed the train ride and learning about the restoration projects the most. However, we were extremely disappointed...More

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Many of our visitors love to see the Golli's on display and to learn the history of these, which has its origins in Egypt in the late 1800s. Excerpt: The origins of the golliwog began with the British soldiers...More

The gift shop is really reasonable prices. And the grounds have something for everyone. Every time we thought we were done looking, we found another little building begging to be explored. Cafe is fab too. Really interesting. Like a step back in time.

Too true, that's why we had to introduce the three day pass! One day just wasn't enough for most visitors. We are so glad you enjoyed your time at the Village.

One of the best places we've been to, really takes you back for a insight into what life was like for early settlers. The staff and the owners should be commended for their commitment and passion to keeping the past available for all to see...More

Thank you, I'll be sure to pass on your feedback to the owners. Village owners Craig and Connie are two of the most passionate people I have ever known.

Not to be missed - Very impressive collection of historical buildings, cars, school, shops and much more. The buildings are kept in excellent condition and the gardens are beautiful with several jacarandas in flower. We also enjoyed a delicious sandwich at the tea house.

Our 4 year old would like to say to all the other kids “go there and have fun, the toy shop and the school from the olden days were the best, I would like to go there again tomorrow.” We were really impressed. The gardens...More
