Impossible to single out any particular exhibit. A visit to the historic village is a complete immersion into our past history - beautifully presented - the best historic village/exhibit I have visited in Australia. A delightful experience - especially if you are a photographer

If you want to get an insight to life at the turn of the century and into the 1950’s, or take a trip down memory lane, show your children the way life was, then this is the attraction for you. FNQ was founded on the back of the mining industry followed by agricultural development, this history is laid plain to see. I especially enjoyed the Carts and old vehicles, WW2 & mining exhibits. Pack a picnic lunch, bring a hat, and take the time to browse. You can give it a 2nd or even 3rd day if you need to on tour original ticket, so do take your time. I was so taken with the 1st visit, I bought the extended family back the following week. The attraction is a credit to the founder, current owners Craig and Connie Kimberly and all the staff. Certainly the star in the Herberton tourism crown. As a tourism operator myself in FNQ, I highly recommend it !

The village is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about history. The displays are well set up and the staff were very friendly. We spent nearly four hours at the village.
