Was not expecting too much from an Australiana Pioneer Village located in a relative out-of-the-way location as the small town of Herberton. Well, my expectations were way off the mark. This place is super impressive with an extensive collection of buildings and artefacts relating to...More

Visited on a Tablelands day trip from Cairns, spent a very busy 2 hours there and managed to see and enjoy about 1/3rd of the exhibition - loved every bit. It's old and faithful to its era, but with immaculate presentation. Not a dusty/cobwebbed old...More

The Herberton Village was a great place to step back in time well presented, paths leading off to many different interesting things, houses and sheds full of period items. We walked over the suspension bridge to see more tractors and implements ,wondered through the grave...More

Lots to do and see. The demonstrations were great although the car demo got a bit overcome by the exhaust fumes. Spent about 2 hours just wandering around.

Dear Laura, true - cars of the olden days certainly expel a lot more fumes than the ones we are driving around today. We are glad you enjoyed your visit nonetheless, thank you so much for leaving a review.

The best you will see in Australia, that is so well displayed and presented. Took two days to fully appreciate the vast collection in beautiful surrounds. A must see.
