Good place to visit.

A good place for hangout. Not well maintained. Visit during night is not advised because there is no security personnel in this area.

There is Chapara, near by small hill. Kids will love the small trucking on to the top of this rocky hill. The... More

Its a mediocre dam and lake at best. Not worth the time and effort spend in reaching there if you are coming from afar. But if you are living close by it maybe worth a visit to pass some time.

Poomala Dam is a little remote area from Thrissur town, because of this reason, it is a very quiet place. Poomala Dam is a very small dam compared to Chimmini Dam or Peechi Dam.

The Poomala Dam and Lake is a very calm, serene and beautiful place for a short trip. It is near to Thrissur and one can spend 2-3 hours here away from the noisy city. The road to the dam site is good and well maintained. It is an upcoming tourist spot so amenities are basic.
