Its amazing how they have built such a nice bacic hotel 2000ft up in the mountains. The sunset and sunrise is stunning, as is the view from the hotel. The owners are very helpful and the food is very good. You must go to the view point, and see all the five mountains.

Eagles nest is a high point in Karimabad, in Hunza. There is also a hotel with the same name. We were not staying here but came for a visit. After parking the car, we hiked up the mountain for a view of Hunza Valley. It was a short climb up? Say 10 or 15 minutes. Was a bit cloudy but still the view was breathtaking. Definitely worth a visit.

We had some French fries and tea at the Eagles Nest Hotel whilst we waited for sunset, then raced up the mountain to catch the moment. We were exceptionally lucky to have a clear sky and beautiful sunset - the view is sensational and very picturesque.

This was a nightmare of an experience especially if you are female flying solo. The staff is uncooperative and rigid. There’s no room service at all. Food is always in the only restaurant they have which is over crowded and noisy. There’s no privacy in the rooms or anywhere in the hotel. Even the deluxe room balconies are so close that the nosey neighbours don’t let you be. If it wasn’t for the beautiful view of the mountains, there’s absolutely nothing this hotel has to offer! Of course, the WiFi barely works!

A great place to relax slightly away from main valley but this is the place from where you can have the best views of Hunza. Located on top of hill in Duikar, 15 minutes drive up from main Karimabad city, the road to Eagle's nest is quite steep and is best done on 4x4 jeep although cars also reach up if the drivers are experienced. Choose between lots of camping sites to stay or you can live in Eagle's Nest hotel which is one of the top hotels in Hunza region. For best experience, getup before sunrise and reach top of mountain in 5 minutes at Eagle's Nest point for a magnificent sunrise. See the first ray of light touch the peaks and give magical colors. Also enjoy Rakaposhi peak, Ultar peak, Lady Finger peak and other mountains and Hunza river below. After sunrise, enjoy breakfast and go on one of various day trips possible from Lake Attabad or Karimabad city tour including Balti and Altit forts. This Place is away from the buzz of Karimabad but a great place to relax in great setting.

Great view. Professional team. Nice rooms. Drive to the place is steep and requires a good driver! Nice weather in summer.

Maybe because of the recent reopening after winter closure, I found cold room and common spaces, bad smell in the room coming from the bathroom, overall forniture and window poor quality

Up a very switchback-y and windy/narrow road, but STUNNING views! We came at sunset, but I'm guessing sunrise would be just as gorgeous. Many shops/restaurants at the top of the hill, too.

Its a short walk - but can be slippery (especially if you are carrying a kid and a camera) from the main road. Even with the clouds, the view was stunning . Worth the climb.
