Our journey to Mt. Everest base camp began with a flight to Lhasa Tibet where we stayed for 3-nights to get acclimated to the high elevation of 12,000 ft. We had a private Tibet tour guide to accompany us all the way to Mt. Everest...More

Not for the faint hearted! We went in a group of 8 and all of us had difficulty breathing overnight. The scenery, the serenity, the whole tent experience - just brilliant!

This is a bucket list type item. We were so fortunate to have clear weather, the views of the mountain range were indescribable.

Fun experience. One night at the base camp, stayed in a Tibetan tent, so close to the sky. I would not recommend the food provided by the tent owner.
