The Fishermen villages

1 review
San Benedetto has some of the most beautiful bike paths in Italy. You can ride for miles while enjoying the palm-lined streets and nearby sandy beaches. Our ride will include a tour of historic San Benedetto, which began as a hillside fishing village. Here we will see the traditional fishermen’s houses and the famous “lu turrio” Tower, a watchtower build to defend the city. During the tour we will enjoy with local seafood and classic regional wines.

The Teatro is the main building surrounding the central „orange tree“ square, with great views down to the coast and a wonderful old time atmosphere. Parking is available „under the city walls“ nearby, the city is traffic free.

Decisamente non facile da raggiungere, forse andrebbe segnalato un pochino meglio, ma ne vale decisamente la pena. Fantastica la vista e, per i più giovani, posto da visitare: decisamente Instagrammabile. • It is not easy to get there, probably needs a little more signs, but it is definitely worth it. Gorgeous panorama and, for the younger once, a must: definitely Instagram worthy.

Very pleasant open view of the Adriatic. I heard from my grandmother than in clean winter days you can see the mountains of Croatia... I never saw them, but it is a nice image. The Municipality is very active in using the space to indict painting competition and open air performances

This is a little town with beautiful side streets, the square where the orange tree in the pot is lovely and the views are spectacular around the top of the old town
