In the main square of the wonderful historic center of Grottammare, stands the majestic and splendid eighteenth-century Teatro dell'Arancio, one of the historic theaters of the Marche. The magnificent exposed brick façade is spread over three floors with a superb lateral civic tower with an ancient clock, while in two niches there are statues of Sixtus V and the Madonna and Child. On the street level of the facade there are the wonderful and ancient loggias, which open onto a breathtaking panorama of the splendid sea and the Riviera delle Palme, as well as the beautiful gardens and houses of the Borgo Antico. The interior, visited during the FAI spring days, has a large room, now bare due to the vicissitudes of time, where there is a historic restored tower clock by Pietro Mei. Definitely a place worth visiting, interesting and evocative, highly recommended!!!

Decisamente non facile da raggiungere, forse andrebbe segnalato un pochino meglio, ma ne vale decisamente la pena. Fantastica la vista e, per i più giovani, posto da visitare: decisamente Instagrammabile. • It is not easy to get there, probably needs a little more signs, but it is definitely worth it. Gorgeous panorama and, for the younger once, a must: definitely Instagram worthy.

The Teatro is the main building surrounding the central „orange tree“ square, with great views down to the coast and a wonderful old time atmosphere. Parking is available „under the city walls“ nearby, the city is traffic free.

Very pleasant open view of the Adriatic. I heard from my grandmother than in clean winter days you can see the mountains of Croatia... I never saw them, but it is a nice image. The Municipality is very active in using the space to indict painting competition and open air performances

This is a little town with beautiful side streets, the square where the orange tree in the pot is lovely and the views are spectacular around the top of the old town

View of the lower part of the town and the fantastic coast, portico with fabulous arches. Inside the Orange Theater there is an interesting collection of modern art and a clock from 1844 by Pietro Mei
