About
Experience the soul of our wines, with an amazing view of the valley and vineyards, the cable car ride to the villages of some of the original peoples of Chile. Discover how they lived in harmony with nature and the environment. What were their rituals, beliefs, and especially their guides: Machi and Chaman, inspiring the soul of our wines. In the evening enjoy the stars of the valley from a unique place in the astronomical observatory of Chaman hill and learn the relationship of the universe with the humanity of our ancestors to this day.

We had the tour ICONO today which is one of the most expensive. Its supposed to be 2 hours for 50€ per Person and it was like nothing included - not how they said. We learned almost nothing about the winery. The first hour we were left alone with the cable car and the small museums upstairs which are not really recommendable, there is not much to see and the astronautic museum was closed. The second hour, we had a young guide who didn't tell us much about the 4 wines - not how expected. No visit to the viñedos, no barrel room, nothing! We didn't get any cheese plate what was included. Not even water between the 4 tastings!!! They said, all because of pandemia, but please, then reduce the price if you can't hold what you promise for the tour!!!!
And beside, the prices are too high for the quality and quantity what you get in the restaurant.
For the same price of the tour, better buy 4 bottles of wine for each person.
We did a lot of wine tours in our life but this was the worst ever!
Not worth the price! Not recommendable at all! Very unprofessional (stuff)! I feel very dissatisfied and ripped off!!!

Had an amazing tour of this vineyard. If you ever get the chance, come check it out and have a tour with Erwin. I don’t think even Coopers Hawk back home has people with as much wine culture knowledge. We basically had the place to ourselves, since it was a weekday and later in the afternoon.
I can’t thank Erwin enough for his hospitality and for sharing his knowledge of wine and how to appreciate and draw out the flavor in a more complete way than I had been all these years.
We will be back!

Had a great time visiting this place. I enjoyed the teleferica and the little museum on top of the hill. Is a bit expensive the ticket but if you are in the nearby is worth to be visited

39000 CLP / pax for visiting an (almost) totally artificial cellar with a tasting of 3 mid-range wines cannot be named other than rip-off. The complete visit of the site including the little cable car tour, the little museum, the visit of the winery and the (poor) tasting session lasts between 2 and 2 1/2 hours. Interesting but almost totally fake and definitely a trap for tourists. Yet the scenery around the site is excellent.

We travelled from Sào Paulo, Brazil, to visit Chile for a holiday. We had planned two days, out of a 10 day trip, in this specific valley to experience the splendor of what Chilean Wine had to offer. My wife had booked a tour at this winery, because they had a "teleférico" (chair lift) to reach the top of the hill where they had a little museum setup to pay homage to the original native inhabitants.
We were very excited to take this tour and arrived 30 minutes earlier than our reservation time. We arrived and were the second car in the parking lot. The grounds, vineyard, and buildings are very beautiful and well kept. I was quickly disappointed (underwhelmed) by the reception from the young lady who received us. She basically told us, yes the tour starts in 30 minutes and you can wait in the gift shop or have a seat in another lounge. We encountered other staff who were also not interested in talking to us or engaging us, like the girl in the gift shop, who we actually had to say hola to so she knew we were there. At 10 minutes before the tour, there were 3 young ladies all at the reception desk playing on their phones and laughing together, and no interest in the 15 guests that they now had for the tour. When the tour started we were directed to the teleférico and handed a map of the top of the hill. It was basically a self guided tour up top and I was disappointed. There was a observatory at the top of the hill, which was a concrete building that you could only get an outside view of.
When arriving down below, we were directed to their manufacturing areas and equipment, which was outside and incredibly dirty. My wife is a native Portuguese speaker and its a second language for me, but the girl giving the tour was a very fast Spanish speaker and also not clear in her explainations. I did not want to taste the wines after seeing the equipment that they used to manufacture it and I was finished. My wife decided to try and she felt that they were more medium to low end wines, but the price tags per bottle didn't match. All in all a very disappointing experience and we would have been much better served spending our time at another one of the local wineries, like Viu Mananet, which we did the following day and was very impressed with their tour and tasting. Do your research on the area and the other options, but for us, this was not a stop we could recommend.

We have family in Chile and they all recommended we visit Viña Santa Cruz. It is really an impressive place, beautiful scenery, interesting exhibits, however, we found the wine to be "just OK" when compared to other wineries in the area. I recommend visiting the location and taking the tour and tasting, however save your suitcase space for wines from some of the surrounding viñas as their product is better. If the wines were better, I would have given it a higher rating. (Remember, wines are very personal, so what I like may not be what you like. That said, we drink a lot of Chilean wine.)

This was an interesting winery visit that I took from Santa Cruz.............the estate is about 30 minutes away in the Lolol Valley.
The harvesting had started and it was good to get into the wine-making process followed by the the tasting.
With having done some wine courses, it was good to have a guide who was able to answer some of the more technical questions.
Tasting in the cellar was more authentic to some of the other wineries that I visited during my Chilean travels

Frankly we would have preferred to either start here or skip it altogether. The other vineyards in the region have way better customer service and wine. The museum "tour" is self-guided and it felt like a waste of an hour. The information is interesting, but we could have done it in 15 minutes.

This winery has it all: a gorgeous bodega, a gondola that affords scenic views of the entire vineyard, great host for a wine tour (Yolanda was our guide). It is a complete experience, although we didn't dine there. The wine tour was perhaps the best I've had and I've taken lots of them on several continents. I got an indepth explanation from someone who knows what she's talking about and has a clear passion for it, not just doing a PR job. Having the tasting in the wine cellar was such a nice touch, whereas most wineries do it in brightly lit rooms. Sipping wine in the presence of this gorgeous oak barrels seems to make the wine taste even better!

My husband and I eagerly awaited our observatory tour one recent evening at the Vina Santa Cruz. The talk given before our time with the telescopes was interesting and informative. However, there were far too many people attending to allow us more than a quick look through the telescopes. We were expecting a more intimate, in-depth experience.
