We agreed with the previous review of Glorjolly, we also found the Sanctuary to be a very peaceful and quiet place, not commercially spoilt. There are a couple of restaurants in the area below the steps, but they do not intrude very much.
This area is also very popular with hikers and mountain bikers. As we sat eating our lunch panini on a wall under trees with the sound the river of the river beneath us, there were lots of people doing the same thing. The parking area was full.
The church is small and the area behind the altar is filled with remembrances to people who have passed away and it very moving to read some of the stories.
We would return again here.
