I had very high expectations going into this trip and yet somehow the trip exceeded my expectations. Our guides, Mirja and Hillevi, were not only experts, but also made the trip very fun. Every detail was perfect. The equipment was of high quality, the food was outstanding, the other clients were fun, the scenery was breathtaking, and the huts are fantastic. Mirja is incredibly knowledgeable about the area as well as the local Sami people and culture. Mirja taught us a great deal about local customs and the life of the Sami people. She is passionate about helping give Sami a voice to the broader world. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. It was simplly perfect.

Hi Alan I am glad that you enjoyed Laponia ski tour. It was great to get to know you and to hear about your winter camping tours in the US. I hope to see you back in area again in not too long. /Mirja

An amazing trip & opportunity to see Sarek in Winter. The guides were very knowledgeable and I felt so safe in their care. They also worked extremely hard, made wonderful food, were kind, patient, helpful, and provided many laughs. The trip is a tough one physically, but the equipment provided is fantastic and appropriate to make the going as comfortable as possible. The stay in the mountain station at the end was a welcome chance to readjust to "normal life" slowly before returning to the chaos go everyday life after the peace and serenity of the mountains.

Amazing half day ski on the frozen lakes and in the forest. Fire camp and hot lunch cooked by our very nice guide Christian. He even brought his two fluffy Samoyed to help pulling us. Everything was perfect, we had a great day and refreshing experience.

Christian, Mirja and Ola are incredibly kind and helpful, and the equipment we rented with them was all we could dreamed of! We had planned a trip in Lapland for a long time but the luggage containing all our gear never arrived at the airport... We discovered Laponia Adventure and we called them wondering if they could rent us some of the things we didn't have anymore (alias our tent, camping mat, sleeping bag, cooking pots and even hiking shoes...) and hopefully they provided us everything (even hiking shoes!) Everything we rented was really top equipment, and they have been incredibly helpful and supportive to meet us despite our very short bus connection in Jokkmokk.

Across Padjelanta National Park: I absolutely loved this immersive nature and cultural experience. It's one of the biggest physical challenges I have ever faced and with no network connection you completely disconnect and live in the moment. Christian, our guide, has lived locally for over 20 years and is deeply connected in the Sami community. He shared with us his knowledge about local customs, ecology, nature habitats and anecdotes. We were faced with some weather challenges (in this area you are bound to) but I always felt completely safe and in good hands. If you are considering this holiday keep in mind that the huts have no running water, no showers and the toilets are external non water closets. You will have to carry your own equipment and part of the food for the trip either in a backpack or sled amounting up to 20-30kg. Thank you again Christian and Mirja - I’ll be back for more :-)
