it has also a thin small sandbar on low tide but it disappear when high tide. The development is slow but started 2019 like Cottages, Comfort Room and the little hill with panoramic view has concrete stairs, a view swings and chairs for tourist to sit on.

This little island has a small sandy beach with beautiful sandstone rock formations that perfectly frame iconic Philippine ocean scenery. I did some snorkeling, saw some very interesting fish, but the main attraction is the scenery. Bulog island is just north of Two Seasons Coron Island Resort, connected to it by a sandbar. However, the resort is private and off-limits to wandering visitors from Bulog!

This was my favourite spot on our private island tour and I chose to stay here for quite a while. Boats seem to damage the corals so there should be some measures taken to protect the area. I am not sure what causes the damage to the corals but they really are stunning and require protection.

TRAVEL TIP/S: (Go in the morning & during low tide season to experience the sandbar)
- Go in the morning,as most boats arrive early to mid-afternoon so you& your family won't feel too overcrowded with the influx of tourists.
- Put on a good enough amount of sunblock as it gets pretty hot even in the morning.
- Prep up those cameras/ video cameras for a lot of photo ops with your family& friends. Don't forget to take those vacation jumpshots on the sandbar; also atop the mini hill in the island.
- Take off those slippers/ aquashoes & walk around barefoot on parts of the island as you don't get to do that often - I did, the sand was so fine& soft, it was amazing!
- Blast on some tunes such as a reggae music or your favorite playlist, chill, relax& unwind. Do Snorkel &swim around too afterwards.
TRAVEL TIME FROM CORON PORT TO BULOG DOS ISLAND: Almost 2 hours travel time
LITTLE TIDBIT TRIVIA: ( Bulog Dos is actually two islets hence its namesake)
1ST ISLET: is where the sandbar which is open to the public.
2ND ISLET: is privately owned by Two Seasons Coron island resort, which is off limits to the public.
The sandbar& scenery from this tiny island was stunning! Especially the sand, it was so fine that you can take off your slippers/aqua shoes& walk around without it. You'll see the sandbar (which is perfect for those photo&video ops) on the right side of the island. Adjacent to the sandbar is the luxury island resort, Two Seasons Coron Island Resort.
While my family& friends (with their families) were busy taking their vacation photos& videos on the mini-hill in the island& its sandbar. I swam away around the island & took photos of the panoramic island view, the landscapes & nature surrounding the island.
The mixture of the greenery, the scenic landscapes around this tiny island against the cloudy skies & aqua blue water will leave you in utter awe!
The locals were right to say to me that I'll surely want to come back again& again as most tourists would. They even coined a term for it, that anyone who comes to Coron or Palawan will have the "COME BACK, COME BACK SYNDROME". I gladly have it, that's for sure!
Xxx Shari :)

As we arrived Bulog island, we saw a monkey chasing a screaming child. We thought the monkey was playful but harmless. We were proved wrong as we hiked to the top of the small hill and took our picture, the monkey walked towards us and hugged my leg and bit me. Mind you, I did not approach nor fed the monkey.
After that, I immediately went down the small hill and looked for the island caretaker to report the incident. Apparently, it was not their fault since the monkey was not theirs and it was wild and just happen to wander to their island. We were skeptical with their statement since before the incident happened, we asked if the monkey was a pet and he said it was brought to the island. Also, the island was in the middle of the ocean.
We asked the caretaker if we could speak with the owner, Violeta Gallego, but Violeta refused to talk to us. I was just going to ask if they would help me finance the anti-tetanus vaccine that I now have to take because of their monkey. The caretaker just said that they would catch and kill the monkey.
It is by no means the fault of the monkey but rather the fault of the island owner, Violeta Gallego. The monkey did not belong in the island in the first place.

Now known as Waling Waling Island. Experience the epitomy of island life by having a private island all to yourself (and family or friends). Bring comfy water shoes or slippers as its a long uphill walk up the small mountain in the middle of the island where the rooms and island bar can be found. Choose to sleep in the open air "bahay kubo" (cool and windy since it's up the mountain) or take one of the airconditioned rooms. Clean bathrooms await those looking for simple luxuries.

You can get there for a day tour with either overnight in Banana/Malcapuya or without. Bulog Dos is more popular of both, actually on the othere side there is Bulog uno AKA Waling-Waling. Its 1,5 to 2hours away from Coron (depending on sea condition)
Bulog Uno has small shop and you can climb up (upon owners OK:)).
