I was in Apo Reef doing my advance open water diver and it was one of the best experiences in my life. The place ist just amazing and the people are the best. Incredible food and the new boat is amazing! I can only recommend...More
Divemaster: The divmasters seemed not to be trained for the job. They did not care much about the job they had. They just did dive the way forth and back. If any problems occurred, for example loss of air, they did not care. This caused...More

It is absolutly LIE. We didn't had apo safari on June and July just because of weather conditions. That is a true breaking our reputation because they are our COMPETATOR. It simply because sometimes that's a Filipino attitude saying CRAB MENTALITY".If you up,they bring you down.
We were searching for one of the most wonderful diving in Palawan in terms of meeting sharks. That's why we chose this Co. Indeed, we had what we wanted. Apo reef is a fantastic place from this point of view. Then, living conditions on board...More
My husband and I went on a 3day/2 night trip to Apo Reef with the former DiveCal operation, now under Allan Umali's new ownership.. It was a wonderful experience.
Besides us were only 3 other divers, and between us were 3 dive professionals to take...More
Had a great first time scuba session, with Stephano & Megan from Dive Cal. Never having dived before I took the "Discover Scuba" Package. This consisted of a training session with my instructor Stephano, and two accompanied dives around two of the Japanese wrecks littering...More
Dive Cal has recently changed management, and is now known as the Umali Dive Centre (UDCC).
I spent 4 days diving the wrecks of Coron with Allan, AJ and the rest of the UDCC team. Allan has been in the dive business for around 20...More
We went on a three-days dive safari to Apo Reef. The reef itself was amazing, definitely worth it! Diving the "Ego Wall" was an experience hard to beat. Also the crew and how they took care of us, was great. However, DIve Cal (or UDCC,...More
We went to a 3 days trip to Apo Reef. First of all, I was really disapointed when arriving at the dive center since I paid the whole expedition via Paypal before going to Philippines, and I sent an e-mail to the dive center in...More
Camping (and it is camping) on the Apo reef was an experience, and an adventure I'm glad I did...When we got back to Coron port though, it was with a touch of relief: The well-seasoned boat did struggle on the way back in 1ft waves,...More
1. The management are NOT costumer oriented, they are greedy, and even outright liers.
2. Having dived throughout the Philippines, Apo reef does not live up to the hype, and is NOT worth the money.
3. Divecal is (at best) a mediocre dive...More

I was taking the trip with them in December last year. At least they went, which I can't say of the company I booked my original trip (Banka Ona). The boat was not the best in the world and a little run down.
We contacted them via phone. Payment was only cash or via paypal or alternatively bank transfer. They do not accept credit cards.
I hope that helps.
Hi Dan, did you go in the end? If yes, how does it work? I am finding it difficulty contacting DIVECAL before we go to the philippines. They do not reply to my emails. Do you need to be a group to go there? Does it work on... More
Hi Dan, did you go in the end? If yes, how does it work? I am finding it difficulty contacting DIVECAL before we go to the philippines. They do not reply to my emails. Do you need to be a group to go there? Does it work on scheduled days of the week only? Can we book before hand or we just have to show up?
