The information on the Kingfisher website is woefully out of date and is not maintained at all it seems. We hoped to be able to have a boat ride and eat at the restaurant, but apparently there hasn't been a restaurant since the last cyclone! The website also advertises Firefly watching (starry starry night), but when we got there, that... More

Kayaked through the mangroves on a windy day for only 500 pesos (for two people!). It wasn't easy but they people they are super helpful and they can kayak with you to help you out, or just to make sure you are safe. It's a great alternative if you want a break from the island hopping.

I really wanted to come here to see the 6 different kinds of kingfishers & to kayak as well because birdwatching is my thing as is kayaking but disappointed as it is being renovated from typhoon Yolonga and we could not kayak. They said best time to see the kingfishers is early morning/evening and we went high noon. They said... More

So I went back to Coron on November 2013. My first time was in 2011. On our first day, my friend and I had the time to ourselves. We had an open schedule and got bored. So I searched Trip Advisor for other things to do in Coron, aside from the island tours. Since we arrived in Coron at about... More

We'll be back! A very underrated place but well worth visiting again. The weather wasn't very good but the beauty of the place still overwhelmed us. Still was worth seeing and experiencing even on a mostly cloudy day for its immensity and otherworldliness.

Our trip to Kingfisher Park was not planned at all, but thanks to the internet and quick replies from the contact person at Kingfisher (you can just text them to arrange a trip), we were able to book a trip in the afternoon, the day before we were set to leave Coron. Totally unprepared, I ended up without a change... More

Difficult to find so need a guide but worth the visit especially in the evening . Suggest have dinner in the restaurant located in the middle of the water, which is reasonably priced, simple fare but OK and return to the shore at night, water transport arranged. The sea comes alive and the fire fly display is awesome (my 16... More
