There are some "Twisted" reviews on Tripadvisor, We came expecting a surprise, As so far all the beachs on the west coast of the Eastern island,,Grande-Terre Have been very disappointing. Plage de Babin is no way a good beach, on any score, Mainly used by the locals, Who often cover themselves with mangrove mud,,Yuk, i walked through the mangrove, Mini crabs bugs etc, Covering my body in that does not appeal. There is no beach, Just the edge of a mangrove, so no sand ( so no Beach) Sunbath on the grass. Getting in is a tad rocky, The water is shallow, Being a Mangrove bay, Flat and not much waves. Forget snorkelling, There is NOTHING to see underwater, Not a single fish! Visit by all means, But keep your clothes on

We followed the road signs from town, and just when we thought there was nothing to see, we found this lovely park/viewpoints. Others were picnic-ing. Very quiet, pretty spot. Worth the 10 minute drive.
