Amazing, stunning drive in the mountains. Beautiful sidewalk and great restaurant with fresh fish and canaries potato. One of the most beautiful places to see in Tenerife

Really stunning views on the way down but a very winding road all the way. Not much at other end apart from a handful of eateries to be honest but the views from the top are to die for.

This is the last stop you can do if you drive through Anaga park. It's a fantastic spot to have a meal, a coffee, or just a break. You can enjoy the sea in a very spectacular way.

We drove all the way from the south of the island to the north to see Anaga park and this beach. It was definitely scenic and beautiful (including the massive waves).

For anyone intent on getting in the water - please please please pay attention to the lifeguard flags on the beach, the Spanish Red Cross appear to be stationed there with a number of lifeguards on duty...and for good reason.

I have snorkelled all over the world (Turkey, US, Costa Rica, Ireland) and got into trouble here - within 10 seconds the waves had dragged me pretty far from shore and the seas were rough enough that my snorkel was no longer operating well. I had been joking with my wife earlier on wondering who might need a rescue but it turned out that I underestimated the waves and needed a rescue myself.

I *might* have been okay (I do know how to deal with rip currents) but the currents were pulling away to more rocky formations so it would have been a dangerous situation in any case.

My absolute thanks to Jorge from the Spanish Red Cross who came out and pulled me back in. A donation has also been made to them once I got back home - as Jorge said "please enjoy your holiday here, it's not worth losing your life over it". More people drown in Tenerife than die in car accidents apparently so for anyone coming to this beach please don't underestimate how strong the waves/currents can be and get into trouble.

Seriously! We drove for well over an hour to get here because the reviews were so great. I can only assume that the reviews are fake. The beach is tiny, black sand and rocks make it difficult to access. The views are nothing special. The waves are large but tretcherous. So much so that there is a fully equipt ambulance and a row of paramedics lined up on the beach just waiting for someone to drown! Unless you enjoy dicing with death or looking at inappropriately naked sunbathers, I would give this place a wide berth!

Is not easy to reach to this beach, but once you arrive you will not regret. Not only the mountain road takes long to drive, after you find a parking space (we had to leave the car far) you need to hike a bit to arrive to the beach. Black sand and the mountains on the back, make it very nice scenario.

The beach is outstanding, big waves and impressive view. Quite deserted and windy, you need a car to get their, but it is impressive to have a walk and see this view.
