We went there by car, because Benijo is a quite remote village. The beach is really worth a visit and you can spend good times there. As we returned, our car got broken into through the window, although we had nothing really expensive in there, so they just stole my 2nd pair of shoes. Had to spend the rest of... More

Slightly hidden place, which requires to make some effort to reach it (probably renting a car), however, it certainly pays off (however, you can have some problems with parking your car). The beach is covered with black volcanic sand and represents the opposite of ovecrowded beaches located in the south of Tenerife. There are rocks and cliffs around and the... More

I loved so much this place. I arrived from Anaga Mountains in this beach. It was cloudy, windy, the sea was with enormous waves. A few people could have a swim, but here you feel nature on your skin. Probably Cristoforo Colombo saw the same coast while he was going to America.

It's not just Playa Benijo that should be on your bucket list. The road that snakes up from San Andres and then down from the high Anagas into Taganana, hugging the coastline as it meanders past Playa de San Roque and Almaciga's wild surf before finally arriving at Benijo is not for the nervous driver, or passenger for that matter.... From my point of view is the best beach in Tenerife. One of the best views, clean water and black and clean sand. It was a plesure to lay down and listen to the waves ( big wave for my taste- I can't swim, so I didn't go to much into the water, but for a swimmer it would be... More

The beach is absolutely awesome. Especially together with the road from La Laguna through the Anaga mountains.

One of the best maybe the best beach in Tenerife. The sites are in the north of the island and quite a tricky ride, but it's worthwhile for sure. It's one beach where the sunset is magnificent, black sand is glowing and smooth. It's a waves beach hence you have to be careful with young ones ... But the pictures... More

I live on this island and trust me, this is the most beautiful and picturesque of all the beaches of Tenerife. And keep in mind, this is a wild beach too. So if you are looking for a beach with sunbeds, bars and crowds of tourists - this is not the beach for you! But if you are looking for... More
