We arrived at this little winery after following the signs from Forrest Highway ( the sign on the highway said OPEN.... nothing about bookings essential). The venue looked lovely and quaint.
Once inside the lady asked " do you have a booking?" After telling her that we didn't she promptly went into this speech about not being allowed to taste today as they were too busy, nor could we purchase a glass of wine or cheese board as they were not set up for that and when we asked if we could buy a bottle of wine we were told that we could take it away to drink. In addition we enquired about hosting a family function in the near future at this venue, she suggested we check the website and the relevant prices.
We won't bother travelling that distance again to receive such a frosty reception. How disappointing!

Apologies that you were disappointed with your visit to the cellar door. Unfortunately we are unable to have all the information we would like on our highway signage. This is all governed by Main Roads and our local Shire. But all information is available on our website. As this was a long weekend we would have already been quite busy, and it is difficult for us to manage 'walk ins' for wine tastings and our grazing experiences. That is why we encourage people to try and book ahead. Our goal is to give the best wine tasting experiences we can. Our Cellar Door is not a restaurant or cafe, our emphasis is on wine only.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Vineyard. We are a small business focused ongrowing Italian grape varieties, and the production of these into a range of wines. Our core business is primarily a vineyard and cellar door operation and as a small family business we are unable to stretch to offering a food service. Not all wineries have restaurants attached to their operations. We try to make this quite clear on our website, and none of our signage indicates we offer food. We do encourage our customers to bring their own food and use the lawn area for picnics etc. We also provide a bbq free for customers to use for picnics. Our cellar door incorporates a gallery of handmade quilts and features art from local artists, and over the Easter Weekend we were very proud to be able to offer an exhibition of these works. We are disappointed we could not meet your expectations with regards to food service.

The four of us arrived and were made to feel immediately welcomed.

Mark and Pippa are consumate hosts and Marks passion for his wine-making shines through. He encourages his guests to ask those tricky questions.

The range of wines offered for tasting was like a true tour of Italy and Marks commentary gave a rich context to the history of each wine.

Accompanying the wine was an excellent grazing board of meats, cheeses and fruits that enriched the tastings.

Thanks to Mark and Pippa for a memorable time, we even walked away with 3 cases!

Stopped in this arv for my first wine tasting experience. Tasted four lovely wines and a fantastic grazing board of delicious local treats for $15 which was very good value. Sat in the sun overlooking the vineyard (or you can sit in the shade).
‘Accidentally’ purchased two of the wines I tasted 🤫😁but felt no pressure to do so which was nice.
Wonderfully friendly hosts happy to share their knowledge and also let you relax to take in the beautiful surrounds. Unfortunately Jasper the pooch was sleeping so I missed him.
Thank you, you run a fabulous winery🍷
