Gazelle sanctuary
Nov 2014 • Family
This is a remote breeding and protection program for Arabian Gazelle away from crowd and hence not seen among tourist attraction. However a small group like few people are welcome to see them very close. There is no facility to handle a large group and hence caretakers insist approval and consent from Muscat office. If you go like I did (2 adult and a baby) they should let you in. Since this is away from general tourist route in Oman, there are rarely any visitors. The road you take from highway 23 until this NP was empty and will be aprox. 20kms. There is no facilities nearby. The nearest petrol pump is the only place for bathroom, food or fuel.
