Stunning grounds, beautiful house, lots to see there, the grounds are so vast and simply stunning, you could easily spend a day relaxing and taking it all in. What a lovely way to spend the day. We ate at the restaurant, it was very expensive, it was lovely food.

Visited the clubhouse brasserie for a light lunch and was not disappointed. Sandwich and fries were fantastic with service to match. Decor a bit naff, according to my wife, but being a bloke that's not my thing. Would highly recommend this hidden jewel as it's far better than most of the pubs within a 3 mile radius.

The grandchildren (and their mother!!) were wanting to visit the Adventure playground - to wear off a little surplus energy......... We also visited the house (excellent guides, especially the lady who looked at the magnificent 'extra' embroidery currently exhibited.) Whole experience feels less restricted than many similar houses (Longleat house was not a good experience, for example, with over cautious... More

It's a pleasant day out with Grandchildren and Grandparents, somewhere to take them whether the weather if fine and sunny or not so nice.

Visited for a family get together, age ranges from 2years to 80years. Under 2's are free, and senior citizens a £2 pound reduction on the £12 entrance fee. We initially met in the cafe ( can use this without paying entrance fee), and then separated for an hour or so, which enabled some of our party to explore the house... More

Visited today with a friend. What a beautiful place. The house & gardens are stunning. The rose garden was an absolute delight to behold. Very good value for money. We spent a good 3 hours there. You must walk around the lake & see the water cascade. All the staff we encountered were lovely. There is the little restaurant by... More

The Woodland Rhododendron walks, including the wonderful Jubilee Garden (only open from April to early June) are certainly worth a visit in their own right. However, it is the 2000 acre Landscape Garden that is the jewel in the crown. They are one of the finest examples of Capability Brown's work. They compliment a beautiful House with its Terrace Gardens.... More

Nice house, and glorious "Capability" Brown landscaping with play areas for the younger ones to let off steam. Would have given it 5 stars if more of the lake and grounds been accessible to the general public. Refreshments just about adequate, though that shouldn't put people off visiting. Extensive kids areas were really well used when we visited, and are... More

We travelled to bowood from Marlborough a really lovely old town that I would visit again. Bowood is home of the Landsdowne family most of the house was demolished after the war as it had been a hospital during Ww11. The family were friends of the royals and several artists there are paintings and sculptures everywhere but you are given... More

There is so much to do here & walk around. The house is absolutely amazing & the grounds/ gardens are just out of this world. The flowers etc are so well looked after & all have there names on there so you could buy them. There is plenty of seats to take in the amazing views & just relax. Plenty... More
