Ten of us from CPI Spanish Immersion Program in Flamingo bought the Adventure Pass for all day Saturday. It was all that was promised and more. We went ziplining in the morning, visited the Animal Sanctuary in the early afternoon and the Cultural Center in the afternoon, topping it off with swimming at the beach before our shuttle picked us up at 4 pm. The frequent transportation between each location made it easy to go back and forth and everyone was helpful and professional. The Cultural Experience was better than expected with hands-on experiences helping the leader make coffee, sugar and chocolate the 'old way.' The grounds are gorgeous and there's a botanical garden if you are interested in learning the names of the beautiful plants.

We did an ATV tour one morning, then the entire zip line course under the adventure day pass the next morning.

The ATV tour was fantastic, and shouldn’t be passed up! Our guide took us out on the beach by Hotel Riu, and the view was amazing! He knows the trails like the back of his hand, and he’s super informative and helpful.

The zip line tour was like no other. The adventure day pass is the way to go to also receive the benefits of the hanging bridge over the crocodiles, animal sanctuary, lunch buffet, and the cultural tour.

Prepaying for our photos online when reserving our tours not only was inexpensive compared to other places, but it also saved us some $ by prepaying online. Also, we didn’t have to worry about taking our phones along with us to risk them being lost or broken. Oscar was our photographer for both tours, and he’s the absolute best!

We went to the zoo on their Discovery Day Pass (about $50/pp) which I initially thought was expensive but after visiting am happy to have paid the price! Excellent and informative docents expand your knowledge base and understanding of the Costa Rican natural inhabitants. We watch two male brother Jaguars have a tug of war over fresh meat (great photo op!), marveled as we walked amongst colorful butterflies and toucans and learned about venomous snakes and frogs. Very clean! Ample transportation from the parking lot to the main office where you pay and then to the discovery center. Monkeys, crocs (the real kind!) and other large cats rounded out our two hour stay. Try it! And you may want to double down with the zip line course.

We bought tickets in advance online only to have to wait in ticketing line. As a result missed our cultural tour scheduled for 9am.
I bought a ticket for my infant for the tour because there is no option on the website not to buy one for someone under 5 years old - who are free. I was told I would get a refund in 2 days. It's been 2 weeks and no refund has magically appeared. Even sent an email to their info email account.
I wanted the refund while I had to go through the morning line anyhow but they refused because they were too busy.

Diamante offers a wide range of activities but I had hoped that for the money their would have been more than a 30 minute Zipline experience over 5 lines and then a small zoo. The overall experience was good, but for the money, I felt like the park should offer more. For instance, the park could really benefit from something like a treetop adventure course that caters to adults and older teens. The ATV and horse back riding tours where of course add-ons to your tickets so it gets rather expensive to try and experience all the park attractions. The highlight for us was the Superman Zipline - it is amazing, but we didn't feel it was enough to make this a "must-do" attraction in such a rich and beautiful country with so many excursions to experience,

Let me start by saying the staff is nice and doing the best they can, however this is not an animal refuge but a zoo. It’s unclear which of the animals are rescued and definitely not all animals are even rescued. It’s a zoo where the animals live in way too small enclosures just for profit of the owners. The moneymaking mindset is also more than obvious when to have to pay 9 dollars for a simple icecream in the souvenir shop.

We selected this activity to take our toddlers to and to show them a day with exotic animals, while teaching them a bit about conservation efforts. It's a clean facility with decently arranged displays, but it's far from exciting, considering the cost. For a relatively short walk through all of the exhibits, you're paying just under USD$50/person. To further punctuate my point, we purchased three small slush drinks to cool off at the center concession stand. Each was USD$11. So for Canadian travellers, that's basically CAD$42 for three slurpees. The gift shop was worse. All in all, there are better ways to support local and see the wildlife in Cost Rica. If you're looking for a quaint, noble conservation group who is caring for endangered animals, this not it. Keep in mind that The Diamante Eco Adventure Park is very much a polished for-profit business with wealthy stakeholders. Enjoy accordingly.

The amount of money you pay for it is ridiculous. $45 to see a few monkeys behind a glass a few parrots and a few other species all behind a glass. Not worth it in my book. We enjoyed the monkeys off the beach in their own natural habitat alot more. You can feed them. They come down from the trees to take the food from you. It was free.

Our day spent there was interesting but less than ideal. When purchasing tickets we said we wanted to see the animals and cultural center. By the time we got to the cultural center, after visiting the animals, we learned we were not sold the right ticket and could not watch the presentation on chocolate and coffee. In addition, our party arrived after 12:30. When we inquired about the lunch buffet cost the young ladies working said it was $16 but closed at three. They also said we could get food at the animal area. Unfortunately all you can get down there are cookies, popsicles and potato chips….that’s a big difference from the lunch we asked about. Since it’s a process to get shuttled around, we never got lunch that day and even skipped the gift shop, that we intended to buy some things from, out of frustration and the need to find lunch. We’d recommend being explicit with your questions.

The zip lining was fun, but it was a crowded and overpriced. Three of my children participated with my husband. They all liked the Superman line but for some reason, despite them all being within pounds of each other, they only weighed down two of the kids so one got stuck midline.

The sanctuary was alright, but likewise unimpressive for the price. The butterfly experience was interactive and probably the kids’ favorite.

We left during the cultural experience, because the audience questions made it next to impossible for the guide to stay on point. The kids were bored.

The food was marginal and included pizza, chicken wings, fries, rice, beans and juice.

Overall, if you are looking for a more private experience, I suggest you book elsewhere. The positive side of this place is that there is something for members of your party to do if they do not want to zip line or are too young. It was convenient to get to via water taxi.
