Driving up to Vorotnavank Monastery just over a week ago, the roads are bumpy so best to do it in a 4X4 or take your time in a regular vehicle. The monastery itself is rustic shall we say? Small but lovely, in fairly decent shape...More

If driving here be sure to take the main road via Sisian. I highly recommend this fascinating smaller Monastery for anyone who appreciates hidden gems off the beaten track. Bird watching in this area v good.

I was very surprised when visited in this place. Monastery complex is large with a lot of tales and scenes to explore. Place to shoot good photos or just listen the stories (you need good guide).

There was a tunnel to river, which is closed now, and hidden place between walls still exists. It has really beautiful viewpoint
