After having lunch it was time for visiting the castle and i can say it was a nice walk. Petrer is next to Elda and is quite funny because my friend told me that there is an aveniu and depending on the side you are you might be in elda or petrer.the castle is not really big but is interesting.

Peter is a great little town. An interesting break away from the coast in Alicante. Lovely sleepy (during siesta in mid summer) town in mid-summer to walk around. Great walks in the surrounding country/hills/mountains.

Petrer is a nice town close to Alicante, nice people, beautiful streets and nice places to eat, still my favorite town around Alicante is Altea but Petrer is closer.

This is very mch acommercial area servicing residents and holidaymkers from the outlying areas. There is a large supermarket seelin everthing one needs and also local businesses provide just about every item required for the house. There are several small rstuarants where a meal of the day can be obtained at very reasonable prices

That said, there's some wonderful countryside within twenty minutes' drive of their ugliness. Give the towns a miss, and head instead for somewhere like Xorret de Cati. Or, if you don't like the countryside,... More
