We first visited Burton Constable Hall this summer and were advised to return by the very enthusiastic and welcoming guides to see the Christmas displays, which we did on 1 December. They are truly wonderful and a huge credit to the house staff who have applied a superb mixture of traditional with humorous quirkiness in their extensive displays in all... More

Went to visit Burton Constable house with family and friends on Sunday 20th November 2016. There was a Christmas fayre in the stables next to the cafe. The house was amazing all trimmed beautifully for Christmas with knowledgeable and very friendly staff in each room. The cafe however was a different story altogether. We went in for tea/coffee and cakes.... More

What a hidden gem in the Holderness countryside. Wonderfully presented house well decked with Christmas decorations of the highest standard. One of the best kept stately homes in the area with a vast quantity of family historic clocks and artefacts. Extremely wide doors to the entrance leads you into a fantastic greeting hall. We were well impressed with the galleried... More

An unspoilt and interesting stately home. Nice local beer in the cafe. Some whale bones and a pretty chapel. Not overly restored which actually makes it better.

Took my 4 year old son on the Hallowe'en trail and can't wait to return. Was a bit disappointed that the house was closed but we were that tired from bat hunting we probably wouldn't have made it round. Stunning grounds full of sheep and cattle and lots of little out buildings to explore. The cafe was gorgeous and full... More

Great day out, whitch was great really interacted with the kids, gets kids out walking whilst doing a fun search for the bat clues which help make the whitchs spell. Lovely country side location. Great choice off craft activates. Cafe serves lovely food. Out door toys to play with such as tractor and a horse and carriage

Went for a day out for the Halloween 🎃 half term activities. There was some crafts for the children to take part in. My daughter wanted to make some but the table was rather crammed and not much space. We did the woodland bat walk which my daughter enjoyed and was handed a sweet at the end. On the whole... More
