New entrance to the right at Jackson’s Garden Centre and exit at the far left by the cafe and new screened till points. There is a one way follow the arrow system which kind of works (we did go back but really you should exit and go round again 🤭) we did queue to get in and went straight to the cafe where you are given a hand held device which alerts you (pings) when there is a free table. Everyone was wearing masks or visors in the cafe. We felt quite safe as it is all very well organised. Wipe clean menus, waitress service, very clean and tidy everywhere including the shop and outside areas 👏 very quick service and the bacon, Brie and cranberry panini £5.99 from the the Christmas menu was delicious. The pate of the day platter £5.99 served on a board tasted as good as it looked 👍. Very reasonable priced menu. Lovely Christmas decorations and gifts in the shop. It was nice to be out and about for a lovely lunch, catch up 🥳👏and of course lots of shopping.

Love a trip to Jacksons. Lovely things really unusual gifts for sale. Some Christmas decoration bargains with up to 50 per cent off. A visit to the potting shed cafe a must. Good choice of menu and nice food.

Turned up at Jackson's for tea and cake. Was met by a very pleasant young lady on the door. It was very busy and she explained that we could be given a buzzer that would go off when our table was ready to which we agreed. When it buzzed, we returned to the cafe and was met by the same lovely lady. She explained the specials board to us and showed us to our table. Although it had a sign on it to say it was clean, there was a slight mark on it and the member of staff cleaned it immediately and apologised. We enjoyed our snack and when we left - the same lady (who we had found out was called Libbie), wished us a good day. You should be very proud of some of the staff you have - Libbie only appeared young but very friendly, professional and couldn't do enough for us.

We arrived at 12.15 and most of the 'specials' were already sold out which was disappointing.
Finally we settled on ham omelette and blt baguette.
The bacon on the baguette was leathery as if it had been cooked hours earlier and kept warm. It was served with 'slaw and tortilla crisps - the slaw was delicious.
The omelette wasn't anything like an omelette- it was flat as a pancake and the ham was more like tiny scraps of left over bacon .
We haven't been for a couple of years having previously visited on several occasions due to the high quality of the meals and cakes, but I'm not sure if the cafe is now run by a different team as it was a real disappointment this visit and we won't be rushing back, however the rest of the shop was ok - clothes, gifts, garden furniture etc.

We visit this garden centre a lot and often spend quite a bit of money here. There home decor showrooms are beautifully set up and you can see that a lot of time and care has gone into making them look appealing. The plants are reasonably priced and they always have a vast amount of different species on display, which is always a good thing.
Sadly on more than one occasion the staff have let the company down . Often very miserable on the tills, especially the younger female staff, and we were in shock on one early morning visit when two female members of staff were blatantly swearing whilst they refreshed stock. Thankfully we didn’t have any children with us.

I hope the lady who told me she is a Manager isn’t training staff or this place will continue to get poor ratings and customers avoiding visiting. She was rude and wouldn’t even listen to me and explain, turned her back and walked away. I returned a faulty product that cost just short of £100 to be told I would need to leave it with them a few days to test. I refused as this is not normal procedure anywhere I have shopped or worked. Within 5 minutes, she told me she had it working but wouldn’t show me and told a colleague to refund me in and walked away. I don’t like being made out to be incompetent or a liar. I would happily have taken the product back if it was working and I had made a mistake and would have apologised for it. I honestly felt like I was in a school playground rather than a shop where I have spent hundreds of pounds. A faulty product is nobody’s “fault” but good customer service is to offer an apology and an exchange or refund.

I paid over £300 plus £10 delivery to a local town, for garden furniture and was told I could ring for a delivery time on the day of delivery - 7 days later. They could only tell me morning or after lunch which they defined as 1-5pm. They could not contact the driver and could not be any more specific. I needed to go shopping to buy my disabled son his birthday cake for tomorrow. He had to wait for his breakfast until
i’d been shopping. This is not good enough. Next time I will buy off Amazon who allow me to track the deiver as well as giving me a narrow delivery time. I now have to forgo a walk to stay in all afternoon.

Met a friend here for lunch. We both needed a pick up and were looking forward to a nice time. However we were met at the entrance to the cafe by an aggressive member of staff who 'dictated' to us what we could and couldn't do and how long we could have the table for. Her manner was abrupt and rude speaking to us like we were rubbish. Jacksons needs to review their customer service. What on earth makes them think it is ok to speak to people like that!

Where to start…… the cafe is fabulous. Homemade cakes, fresh food with plenty of choice for the veggies, vegans and meat eaters in the group.
We could easily have spent all day here wandering around looking at all the unique trinkets and gifts.

Two of us had paninis, so flat they looked like they had been run over by a lorry. One of us had a tuna surprise, the surprise was you could only taste mustard.
Annoyingly they do not serve ice with cold drinks and apparently they never do, it was a very hot day when we went and paying £1.70 for a can of coke was the icing on the cake. Had planned to have cake after but ended up going elsewhere, where we had drinks with ice and lovely cakes.
