The gentleman who takes care and pride of this museum is so dedicated and explains to each visitor the plan of the museum and its highlights. Anguilla is so fortunate to have this nice man showing what it went through. We hope that his work is valued by many and will never be forgotten.

Colville Perry is an impressive curator of Anguillian history. I had no idea the depth of information we would see here. It is wonderful that he has collected and compiled the story of Anguilla, especially compelling is the relatively recent history of the ‘67-69 revolution. How far this island has come since then. By all means drop in, plan to spend an hour or two and support his efforts to educate.

Give yourself plenty of time to visit this museum that is packed with a wealth of information. As well as the artefacts mentioned by others, there is a host of stories and information in folders which paint a clear picture of the history of Anguilla. Mr Colville Petty ( curator of the museum) is very passionate about the island’s history and has organised the information in a lively, interesting way. Artefacts used in the Caribbean during the Victorian period and the story of the Anguillian rebellion are particularly engaging.

The owner/curator of this small museum introduced us to his collection of memorabilia some personal and some donated. He is a writer and some of the best parts of his collection are summaries of key events that he summarized or excerpted from written records, things he personally observed or articles from old newspapers. In addition, the museum is full of relics, photos and memorabilia. It was obvious that he took great pride in Anguilla, its history and its people. This type of museum can fill a bit of emptiness you sometimes feel if you visit a new destination but don't ever expose yourself to its culture, lore and history. I strongly recommend it. Finally, he sells some of the books he has written as well as some nicely graphically designed Anguilla t-shirts.

We almost missed this place, glad we didn't, now. I could personally have spent hours there. Surprised all our children enjoyed the visit here. ,
