Also a nice SLH hotel and several beach restaurants with great drinks and food. Easy to drive to if you are staying in another area. Bring snorkeling gear!

This is a breath taking beach. So Calm, So beautiful and the Bluest clearest water i have ever seen in my life. Would go back to Shoal Bay a few hundred times if i can. Definitely worth a visit.

This is the nicest black I have seen in my life. I have traveled for several years. I was told to check this one out. Glad we did. Fantastic and breathtaking both

The beach is absolutely gorgeous! Would def recommend doing a day trip! The lunch at the restaurant was delish, an outdoor shower would have been perfect.

The most prettiest water and whitest sand. You need sunglasses. Such a friendly island. Went on a day excursion from st Maarten and it only took 20 min. Worth just visiting for the day since there's not much to do except to relax and swim.

We arrived around 9:50-10am and there was no one around. This very long and wide beach had the whitest sands I have seen in the Caribbean. No trash was seen on or in the sand, no cigarette butts, just a pure clean beach. The waters...More

I really like this beach on the western tip of the island . It always seems like a deserted desert island! Very few people and serene waters. I once even saw an octopus hiding among the rocks when snorkeling!

Shoal Bay is up there right with Turks and Caicos. The beach is pristine - and not crowded, no vendors, no loud music, several beach bars without the drunk rowdy types, beautiful water

Shoal beach west is the most beautiful beach on the island. White sand and turquoise water. Tropical Sunset Beach bar is excellent. Can rent 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella for $10 for the day. Amazing experience!

Beautiful beach. Quite a few restaurants and bars. Can snorkel right off the beach. Fabulous walking on the beach. And good people watching. Seems to be busier on Fridays and Saturdays.

It depends on what you like... Personnaly we like quiet beaches such as in Turks and Shoal Bay is close but already too built on the western side... But if the sun is shining, the colors are beautiful!!! Enjoy!!!

We're considering this tour. In your review you say "included in the excursion so our lunch was disgusting." Lunch was not good? Or was this a typo? :) Thank you!

Hi There! I have heard that it takes a long time to get through customs once you arrive on anguilla- is this what you experienced? We would love to do a day trip while docked at St Martin, but just wondering about the time frame. Thanks!! Kendra

I think it depends on when you arrive. We went on the public ferry and it took about 15 mins, so not too bad. It is definitely worth the trip, Anguilla is beautiful. Not sure of your plan, but if you hire a car for the day... More
