I visited here with a friend as we had lunch at La Perouse and decided to go for a drive out to Little Bay and have a look at the view, my friend suggested we go to the Coast Golf Club for a drink, as I had never been there before even though I am a local partly due to the fact it is off away from the main road and I
don't drive and it is to far and isolated to walk from the bus
stop.. There is plenty of
parking, the views from the
outside seating area is beautiful, there is a bistro and the food is good value according to my friend.

I would probably visit here again if I was with friends in a car.
Prices for drinks were
reasonable but cheaper for members.

The first impression of the golf course was pretty bad, rude staff. The middle aged woman wearing glasses had a very bad attitude toward customers. She was staring at me from the moment I got into the pro shop without saying hello. She looked like saying to me “What are you doing here?” or “Who are you?” Such a rude person and definitely not a right person for customer service. To be honest, the course itself was ok due to the famous ocean view.

We arrived to be well greeted by all staff.
The club house was very hot were we had to set up our booking in for personal as the air conditioning was broken.
The golf carts were in excellent condition.
The views of the golf coarse from the club house is breath taking.
The fairways were very sub standard some had holes in them and the grass was very sparse, the green were average and the turf around the greens was okay. The bunkers were well raked and great to play out of.
The best thing about this coarse was definitely the staff especially the lady in the pro shop Colin from the pro shop and Nora from the front office and also the General Manager all these people are to be highly recommended on there people skills in making our day a success.
A couple of recommendations for people is that it can become very windy and walking this coarse would be very difficult as it is very hilly so I suggest a golf cart.
Another suggestion is to bring plenty of golf balls if you don't hit it straight as there is heavy bush on most holes either sides of the fairways.
After finishing the golf we came into the clubhouse which was very hot due to the air con not working but the drinks were cold and enjoyable.
Overall I don't think that I would drive for over 2 hours to play this coarse again as I was expecting a much higher standard of coarse.
But well done to all the staff.

Staff is unfortunately a disappointment. We are locals with international background and have been here several times. The racist attitude towards someone with an accent is unacceptable and we were presented with this mindset every single time we came. Hard to believe this is coincidence. Management should invest time on the floor and coach the team to a better service level. It’s certainly not rocket science. Hospitality is the people‘s industry so therefore I can only give s 1 Star rating, despite food that deserves 3 stars and views that deserve a 5 star rating.

Tried to be overcharged when paying..didnt give us the website special of $55 which clearly says golf and cart...
Greens were slow and furry..
Play was very slow due to a couple of groups of 2 playing without a cart..should be made compulsory to have a cart..
Water bubbler didnt work on the back nine so couldnt get a drink of water in the 33deg heat..
Also when we finished there was no food available in the clubhouse..all of us were hungry as it was a long day but the chef said no food sorry..not even a pizza (even though I just saw him put 3 in the pizza oven)...missed out on at least $150 at least...
Fix the greens up a bit..employ a chef that has good customer service skills and the course and club will be great..
Such a great location..and great beach.!!!

One of the most scenic golf courses I have played in. The view throughout is incredible, the course is carved alongside the rugged coastline of Little Bay and you have incredible views of the Pacific Ocean. Playing on the cliffs can be a long process as you are taking always that extra time to admire the views. The course condition I would say are average at best. Greens are a bit slow and fairways not that fair..Directions to tee boxes can be very confusing and additional signages would help. However, this would not deter one from playing just simply to enjoy the most scenic views a golf course can offer.

Had an Easter round at The Coast Golf Club and found it great. Stunning location and it was a beautiful day which helped. The staff were not the best, but it's such a stunning place that I didn't mind.

I would agree with other reviewers that it is poorly signed. If we hadn't had someone who was experienced with the course, we would've been in trouble, so go with a local.

This course is on a beautiful coastal setting, but the grounds are poorly maintained and staff is rude. They will try to gouge you if you are an "international" guest...so be prepared. Rental clubs are the worst ever - broke a graphite shaft 7 iron and I'm a senior lady player. Someone who loves golf needs to buy it, change out the staff and make it the spectacular course it could be.

People traveling to the beach can often walk into the golf course by mistake due to poor fence and signage. Staff working there is lazy and rude.

I played in the Friday comp as a visitor at 7.45am on the 7th July, was bloody cold for the first few holes (Probably the main reason I wiped the first 2!) but I have to say the course far exceeded my expectations. Not only was the scenery spectacular, but the course was in great shape apart from a couple of fairways that clearly had a lot of rain and the greens were perfect, if a little difficult for me (HC 18).

I imagine if the wind gets up this is a completely different course, but thats clearly both a pro and a con...I was happy with very little wind and ended up with 34 points with 4 wipes which I was happy enough with in my first run at the course.

Every second hole I genuinely had to stop for a second and take in the view. On a bright sunny winters day, I realised how lucky we are in Sydney to have courses like this for the tiny sum of $36 which even included a drink voucher.

Pro staff were friendly and accommodating, total round took us 4.5 hours which was nice and flowing (Waited briefly on 2 holes) and my playing partners were very friendly and gave me advice of where to aim for on the blind tee shots and to avoid hazards.

I heard some slightly negative things about the back nine before playing, but I honestly dont have one bad thing to say from this round. Im booked in again to play tomorrow, so maybe the wind will be up and I will have something different to say!

For me, this is pound for pound one of the best courses I have ever played.
