I've been here in January 2017 with family. Very soft climate - a lot of green trees. Location in the heart of well known vine region - Kakhety. Each village around has their own vineyards and gave a regional names to vines (Mukuzani, Tsynandali and so on). The muzeum located in the butiful green park. Very interesting museum dedicated to one of the famous Gergian poet - prince Alexander Chavchavadze and his family.
There is a local vinery in the museum - you MUST try some rare boteled vines.

Very authentic place. The beautifully kept and restored garden plus soviet era guest house. You wake up in the morning in the park,walk your way into the palace/museum, and get a fabulous food in the evening if you book it in advance)

i was a bit surprised to find how small the summer house was but it is a beautiful building and exquisitely decorated.
Pay your entrance fee at the carpark at the end of the driveway - you have the option of buying a ticket for the museum or museum/garden. I think we missed the sign from the main road - but if you do sail past the sign you can't miss the imposing lined driveway and gates on the right side of ther road if you are driving from Telavi.
There is a tea room in the kitchen - which was a lovely place to stop for a cuppa and quick bite to eat.
No photos permitted on the first floor and watch out for the hard-sell in the gift shop.
the garden surrounding the house is lovely - lots of established trees and conifers. The maze to the left as you approach the house/museum is not to be missed.
you can pick up ribbons to tie on the tree from the gift-shop ... for a small donation.

Truly to say, we didn't expect to see that much beauty. This is when you see that Georgians really have a good taste.
I would advise you not to take the excursion that is provided by the museum (it is just 30mins and they just tell you which brand the furniture has and blahblahblah). Better read about Chavchavadze family beforehand, on your own, and then you could enjoy your visit on its highest.

The Museum is well-maintained and I think if you come here, better only take the package tour of 7 Lari which includes the tour of museum, park + 1 free glass of wine because on the Museum tour is quite limited, you're not even allowed to take a photo and I wasn't informed beforehand so it's so embarassing, park is okay nothing much to see. Upon entering the museum, they have the speaker who talks about the history and all. I just like where the wine cellar is and the wine tasting, I've tried the white whine and its good, I ended up buying the Saperavi red wine and Tsinandali white wine. Its cheaper of course to buy from here than in the airport.

Chavchavadze family estate is located here. Now it is museum illustrating the life of the past generations. The house has experienced kidnapping of 23 women and children by Dagestan tribesmen. Because of the unpaid loan to house was passed to TsarvAlezander III. Beautiful park in an English style. Beautiful Cafe with an outdoor terrace. Gift shop.

Tsinandali Estate visit was a miraculous one so far! I have taken the tour through museum of Prince Alexander Chavchavadze which was one of a kind. I and my friends have strolled through magic garden, just very rare plants and full of oxygen. I loved the wine tasting part of the trip so much. We have tasted 5 different wines of Tsinandali Estate which I even bought as presents and later dined at the Georgian old restaurant with a royal type of interior (which has not been renovated and looks so authentic). We stayed at Radisson collection hotel on the same estate with fantastic views. I highly recommend anyone visiting Kakheti to check out Tsinandali Estates, taste wines, dine and stay there for a night at least. Magical🌟

I wouldn't call this place a palace. It was a large mansion owned by a wealthy person related to titled gentry. There is a wine cellar under the house which was interesting to see, but if you've seen a lot of wealthy mansions of last century, no surprises here.

Beautifully manicured grounds, excellently maintained museum, and an intriguing look into the region's past. The wine is high class, and the tasting in its quaint wine bar is a must.
Alexander Chavchavadze and his family were fascinating, his summer mansion in Tsinandali is of Italianate architecture, and this is where he built Georgia’s oldest and largest winery. Chavchavadve’s daughter, Nino, is central to the estate’s saddest story. Widowed at 16, never remarried despite numerous and repeated suitors, etched the words “Why still does my love outlive you?” on her husband’s headstone. She’s adored for her life-long fidelity and is mostly depicted weeping.

Museum with park, if you are keen to learn about Georgia and their lifestyle back then this would be right place and at the end complimentary wine acts as icing on the cake. We took entry with complimentary wine and park visit but if you want just purchase museum w/wine tasting.
