I love this church as it is like you are in the middle of the forest. People in this province are so ingenious as they used the branches and trunks of dead trees that's why this church really looks like mother nature built it herself. Words can't describe how beautiful the altar is so I am just attaching photos with this review. Even inside the church it feels like you are in an outdoor setting because it is airy.

The church has also an outdoor chapel which is equally beautiful.

Situated in Sagay municipality, This church is uniquely decorated. The local materials were used to give awe to the tourist. A nice endeavor to beautify this church. Nice interior.

Its the first time I saw how old tree roots and branches could be used as art deco for the interior of this church

From all the churches I visited on the island the Sagay church is the most appealing of all. Old structure, well conserved with a very original interior decoration what gives a direct link to the community.
Quiet place and well ventilated. The place to sit down for a while (even when you are not Catholic).
You have to go there!

The structure is impressive. It is old but has its charm. The interior ornaments used show the creativity and resourcefulness of Filipinos. You'd see driftwoods and bamboo used as decorations.

The Sto Rosario Church was built in 1882. The portal looks like the only original part of the facade aside from the outside walls.

The inside of the Church is something else. It was my first time to see a church decorated with drift wood chandeliers and other indegenious materials

The Church is located in the town of Sagay. It cannot be missed. Once you see a plaza with light blue paint the church is not far.
