Great White Dot

Enjoy the freshly caught uni amidst the volcanic island background. Come early to avoid the scorching sun since minimal shade is available.

For just a 2-hour drive from Benoni seaport, you can enjoy the white fine sand and prestine sea from Midan Island famously known as "White Island". The island can be accessed from Barangay Agoho or Brgy. Yumbing in Mambajao about 4 to 6 kilometres (2.5 to 3.7 mi) west of the poblacion or town center. Small boats can be hired... More

Very nice small island. Follow the signs for White Island. Approx 450 peso for a boat taking about 10 min. You can snorkel, swim or do photography. Can get very, very hot so take an umbrella, sunscreen, water, etc.

Take a short 5 minute boatride from the shoreline to White Island for a relaxing time. Make sure to go there when the sun is low or on a semi cloudy day because there is no shade on the sandbar. You can rent large umbrellas there but that's no fun. The western shore of the bar is waveside and full... More

Not good for diving or snorkeling, Mantigue island is MUCH MUCH better for those activities, but for scenic beauty and as a site for photography, you cannot beat White island. Early mornings or late afternoon best as midday sun just too strong.

Just 10 minutes away from the port. Lovely sandbar BUT no need to rent and spend money on the snorkeling gears. Save it for the Giant Clam Sanctuary. Spending 30mins to an hour here is enough for swimming in the clear seawater and picture-taking. Go early in the morning to avoid the scorching heat. It's a sandbar so there's no... More

It was just a 15minutes from where we stayed. When visiting Camiguin, don't leave the island without visiting the White Island or you'll missed half of your trip.

The sand bar is 10 minutes by pump boat from the jump off point. Boat costs 450, good for six people. There is also an environmental fee of 20 per head. You can't stay past sunset because the pump boats don't have lights. It is a long stretch of white sand that is pristine. It has no commercial establishments or... More

We couldn't go at first due to high winds but managed to on our second day. If the weather is changeable make the most of this while it is available. It is really a must do as you get spectacular views and photos with the turquoise waters, hilly backdrop and very white sand. Make sure you take sunblock as it... More
