My friend and I had a wonderful experience with Samual and Carlos. We hiked the Douro Valley, had lunch at a local restaurant, took a train ride on a restored vintage train to Pinhao and caught a boat, then on to wine tasting. It was a full day but so informative by two seasoned guides. They usually do the Penedes-Geres National Park but knew the Douro Valley hiking spots. I highly recommend these tour guides for a professional but fun tour. They were so easy to talk to and that made it exceptional. You two are amazing.

My friend and I had an amazing experience, our guide Luis was fantastic very attentive with the crew and made sure everyone was enjoying the experience. We had the opportunity to visit beautiful places, enjoy the view and take pictures. The meal was also very good.

We had excellent day hiking in Geres National Park! Everything was arranged perfectly (pick-up, hikes, lunch, visits etc.). We could see the highlights of the park in one day and enjoy small hikes in beautiful nature with the best guide! We recommend!

A fantastic tour with Samuel Costa. We began with a 3-hour hike from Pedra Bela through gorgeous granitic spires and a high-country corral, sighting a roe deer and peregrine falcons. This was followed by a fabulous lunch at a local restaurant, then a driving tour and a walk along a Roman road. A wonderful day in beautiful surroundings.

I was there with my partner and my little son. We were in an amazing place that looks like a lagoon.
The Peneda-Gerês National Park (Portuguese: Parque Nacional da Peneda-Gerês), also known simply as Gerês, is the only national park in Portugal . It is located in the Norte region, in the northwest of Portugal, specifically in the districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, and Vila Real.
Easy to get in. You can park your car all day for just 2€
A beautiful place for swimming and enjoy the Sun.
It is a must if you go neat to the area.

Just enjoy what the nature is offering you. This experience has everything, to enjoy the geres experience.
Samuel is an amazing guide and will show you places where only local people are allowed.

We are so glad we booked this day trip! Samuel was our guide for the day through Geres National Park. He lives here, and had a great knowledge of the area to share with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our full day with him, hiking and experiencing different areas of the park. The included lunch was amazing, and allowed us to experience local Portuguese cuisine first hand. We highly recommend this tour company for anyone who wants a local experience. Be sure to wear your hiking shoes/boots, a jacket and bring your day pack.

We were very impressed with our guide, Samuel Costa, who took us (retired married couple) on a 5 hour hiking tour of portions of the national park. Deep knowledge of flora, fauna, geology and history of the area. Engaging, humorous and aware enough of our abilities that the hike was lengthened to take in a neighboring valley. The weather was rainy and chilly, but all three of us were dressed for it and the day was the more memorable for that. The walk was followed by a five course lunch in the village of Geres, which included some wonderful dishes and local wine. Highly recommended.

We booked this tour as a day trip from Porto. Carlos picked us up in front of our hotel and drove us to the Park. There, we drove up to a stunning viewpoint, from where we began an amazing hike. Carlos made sure to share his deep knowledge about not only the park, but also Portugal and its culture as we made our way through lush pine forests and picturesque rock formations. After this two hour hike, we had a great lunch of traditional Portuguese dishes. From there, we went down to a beautiful waterfall where we were able to bathe in a pool of clear water. We were lucky that the weather was perfect. All in all, it was a great day, thanks to Carlos who was an amazing guide throughout the journey. I would recommend it to anyone looking to spend an envigorating day trip away from the city stress.

My husband and I spent a wonderful day hiking with Waldo in Peneda- Geres National Park. Although it rained lightly for most of the day it made for some unique photos. We also came prepared with the right clothing so we were not uncomfortable. The park is beautiful with some lovely overlooks and lots of pretty waterfalls. We got to watch some folks repelling down the falls, saw some cows who were unphased by us and walked along the ancient Roman road which still had the original mile markers. Waldo grew up coming to this park and was able to point out flowers and trees. The three of us had a great lunch at a local restaurant hiked a bit more ,then drove to a Spanish border town where we soaked in the hot springs and listened to a local play the accordian. All in all a great day.

Hello, we are a couple staying in Rio Caldo for 3 nights. Is it possible to arrange 2 half day tours on 11-12 Sep 2022, instead 1 long day? Each day may include a 2-3 hours hike and sight seeing (total of 5-6 hours). this will better suit us. If such possibility exists, please let us know the price and how to proceed with booking.

I plan to drive to the National park. Are you aware of any tours that can be booked at the park in advance? We will have a rental car for the duration of our trip. We see only tours which include transportation.

We drove to the NP and drove within it ourselves to the attractions.
Would be good to contact the Park directly for the information on tours.

Olá! Estamos planejando despender 5 dias em Geres, de 26 a 30 de dezembro próximo. Gostaria de saber se é um bom período para visitar o parque. Se o frio e o mau tempo não atrapalham o passeio.

siamo in 2 w soggiorniamo vicino al Parco dal 21 al 24 agosto. Vorremmo fare escursioni o visite guidate i giorni 22 e 23 agosto senza perderci niente delle zone più belle, naturalistiche e selvagge del parco.. Chiediamo aiuto e consigli. Grazie
