I visited several caves in Europe and one in Asia. There are probably many interesting caves on other continents, but THIS CAVE caught my attention especially with its unusual aragonite growths. I have not seen such things anywhere. Incredible. I enclose a few photos, it's worth seeing. For entering the cave a fee of 6.00 €, for taking pictures 10.00 €. Photos are worth doing!

This is quite amazing place ... cave decoration is like snowflakes ... fragile yet so beautiful. I recommend for everybody to arrive little earlier when the groups are smaller. I think that entry fee is adequate but the explanations should be bilingual. Also, 10 euro for taking photos is excessive.

Changed our itinerary to get here on a Sunday as it is closed on Mondays. So glad we did. One of only three such caves in the world and the only one in Europe. The Aragonite deposits vary greatly in size and shape and have a remarkable beauty. The tour is 30 minutes as the area is not very large but not to be missed. Parking about 10 minutes walk from the entrance. Tours only in Slovak but notes are available in other languages. Other interesting caves in the area but this is the most significant.

There is no bad cave to see in Slovakia but if you can please go and visit Ochtinska Aragonitova Jaskyna . You won't regret it. Just like other caves you have to pay to be able to use your camera but it's worth it .

One of the most interesting caves in Slovakia with flower-like ornaments, which I have never seen before. Easy access from the parking area, so also for little kids.
