I visited several caves in Europe and one in Asia. There are probably many interesting caves on other continents, but THIS CAVE caught my attention especially with its unusual aragonite growths. I have not seen such things anywhere. Incredible. I enclose a few photos, it's...More

This is quite amazing place ... cave decoration is like snowflakes ... fragile yet so beautiful. I recommend for everybody to arrive little earlier when the groups are smaller. I think that entry fee is adequate but the explanations should be bilingual. Also, 10 euro...More

Changed our itinerary to get here on a Sunday as it is closed on Mondays. So glad we did. One of only three such caves in the world and the only one in Europe. The Aragonite deposits vary greatly in size and shape and have...More

There is no bad cave to see in Slovakia but if you can please go and visit Ochtinska Aragonitova Jaskyna . You won't regret it. Just like other caves you have to pay to be able to use your camera but it's worth it .

One of the most interesting caves in Slovakia with flower-like ornaments, which I have never seen before. Easy access from the parking area, so also for little kids.

Make it a cave day like we did and combine this with Dobsinska ice cave which is only 50 minute drive away. Getting to Ochtinska was fun. B,C and D roads all the way, and road signs to get you to the destination if you...More

This is one of beautiful caves in Slovakia. Only one negative point I would like to raise is that the road - last 2kms are in horrible condition which can disappoint your trip.

This is a beautiful cave and it is the only one of this kind in Europe. (There are three officially registered in the world). It offers guided tour in several languages (either with MP3 or text). It is located in quiet and peaceful environment surrounded...More

There are lost of positive and negative comments that could be said about the experience. But the fact that the cave is so unique makes up for it. It is in a Beautiful out of the way area accessible by car but be careful when...More

This cave is a definitely nice place in a not crowaded area. But if you are not eager with all that cave and minerals and geology things, i wouldn't recommend that place. Another thing is that they do their tours in Slovak language. Of course...More

Just my wife and I visited, so I can’t speak on behalf of 4 people, although I did see families in the cave. We went in the summer when it was busy and tours running every hour and lasting for about 35 minutes. April is off... More
